This clip really says it all about why Obama and the Democrats refuse to secure the border. Why Pelosi, when she became Speaker in 2007, immediately killed all funding for the 2006 Secure Fence Act (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Fence_Act_of_2006), which had passed with broad bi-partisan support. Why Obama does not take any steps at all to stop perhaps tens of thousands of illegals from bum-rushing that border, only to be collected on the other side and distributed wherever they like inside the U.S.
Because they don’t recognize that border. They don’t think the U.S. has a right to defend it. They view American nationalism as racist and imperialistic.
Nancy Pelosi made this clear with two statements on the border yesterday:
“We are all Americans — north and south in this hemisphere (http://toprightnews.com/?p=4061)”
and, most disturbingly for anyone who respects out borders and the rule of law:
“This is a community, with a border going through it.”
Get that? Those illegals on the other side are just “Americans”, trying to get over a border that shouldn’t be there.
Our national border is an inconvenience, a hindrance, even an obscenity to them. So they ignore it, and do everything they can to help foreigners cross it illegally, and then refuse to prosecute or remove them when they do.
This is treason, plain and simple. The U.S. Constitution mandates (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_Four_of_the_United_States_Constitution#Cla use_2:_Protection_from_invasion_and_domestic_viole nce) that the Federal government protect each state “from invasion” in Article 4, Section 4. This is an impeachable offense. It doesn’t get any clearer than this.
