Yep sums it up well.. I started a new job this week. One of the other new guys asked what I had planned for the 4th of July. I said nothing. He goes, you're not going to celebrate the 4th? I said no. I refuse to celebrate something I don't have. He goes we're free. I stopped him right there. I said how in the hell are you free? You have to license to "drive", you have to insure your vehicle, you have to register it to the state where they just give you a shitty certificate of title for the vehicle and not title itself. 1/3rd of your paycheck is taxed before you even have it deposited, and you are virtually strip searched when traveling by plane. You want to stand there and tell me with a straight face that "we're free"? I said it's time to put down the government sponsored kool-aid and wake up kid. He's only 24, sat back down at his desk with this look that he's realized that I pointed out the shackles that enslave him. So hopefully I've awoken someone. Only time will tell.

Ukrainian Journalist: "Let's Borrow From The US Constitution; They're Not Using It Anymore"
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 07/04/2014 20:41 -0400

Submitted by Simon Black of Sovereign Man blog,

In the fall of 1239 AD, Batu Khan and his Golden Horde were making great progress in their rapid advance into Europe.

The Mongol Empire was in the midst of global conquest, and Batu’s army had been devastating cities across the Russian plain.

He stopped briefly after taking Chernihiv (in northern Ukraine) and sent his cousin Mongke with a vanguard force to probe Kiev, the capital of Kievan Rus.

At the time, Kievan Rus was one of the greatest powers in Europe, forming a loose federation of Slavic principalities that stretched from the Black Sea to the White Sea.

Kiev had been founded nearly eight centuries before, and by 1239 it was a grand capital with some 50,000 inhabitants. Mongke was quite taken with it. And, not wanting to destroy it, he sent an emissary to discuss terms for their surrender.

Apparently Kiev’s Prince Mikhail had just watched the movie 300… because he put the Mongol emissary to death.

Now, if I could paraphrase the Princess Bride, history gives us a couple of very clear rules– (1) Never get involved in a land war in Asia; and (2) Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line.

But only slightly less well-known is this: (3) Never slight a guy named Batu Khan, especially when his army is called the ‘Golden Horde’.

Batu responded to Mikhail’s poor manners by laying waste to the city. Martin Dimnik’s work “The Dynasty of Chernigov” describes the carnage in gruesome detail, saying that people “drowned in a pool of blood.”

To their credit, though, the Kievans fought bravely. They lacked the Mongolian weaponry and tactics, but they fought with sticks and knives… hand to hand, house to house, man to man.

Resistance is in their DNA. So it’s no surprise that, several centuries later, people were out in the streets fighting against their own government. Sticks and knives, once again, againt tanks and automatic weapons.

This time they won. Sort of.

Every 10-15 years this place has a major revolution. And each time it’s precipitated by one basic principle: money.

All people really want is to be in a place where they can improve their lives… where their children can have a brighter future than they did.

The system in Ukraine did not provide those conditions. It was designed for a tiny political and banking elite to enrich themselves at the expense of everyone else.

This revolution was borne from economic frustration, plain and simple.

Yet each time this happened in the past, all they really did was change the players… not the game. They just ended up with a different set of criminals in charge.

This time around there seems to be serious effort to at least change the rules.

Many are talking about major revisions to the Constitution (leading one local journalist to ask– “Why don’t we use the American Constitution? It was written by really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and they’re not using it anymore…”)

He’s right. Much of the West, in fact, has descended into the same extractive system as Ukraine.

There’s a tiny elite showering itself with free money and political favors at the expense of everyone else.

Dow 17,000 means that a handful of people at the top are making boatloads of money thanks to quantitative easing, some upper-middle class are doing fairly well, and the average guy pays higher prices for food, fuel, education, medical care, etc.

It’s not just the US. France, for example, is simply not a place where you can work hard and expect to improve your life anymore. In Greece and Spain, half of the nations’ young men are broke and unemployed.

And along they way, they have all set aside civil liberties and turned into vast police states.

Ukraine may be in the midst of turmoil right now, but they at least hit the big giant reset button and are looking to build something new.

The West, meanwhile, continues down its path of more debt, more money printing, more regulations, and less freedom. How long can this really go on without consequence?

I know exactly what you mean, meanwhile it's the State that's using these tactics to scare people into giving up all their rights and freedoms, in addition to false flag ops that only furthers the expressed agenda of the State - more surveillance and control.

I'm usually the only one that doesn't go through the radiation machine at the airports. When I talk to people about it, most either say that it's necessary and they don't mind or they don't like it but they'll accept it for safety reasons.

Yesterday I was at the grocery store and one of the guys who works there that I know says "Happy 4th of July" and I respond with "You mean Farce of July". My voice is deep and carries very well and and the people around stopped and gave me the he's a terrorist look, immediately hating me. The young worker approaches me and says "Hey we're free and this is the best country ever!", people are still looking/listening at this go down and I think to myself I should have just kept on walking and kept quiet but....I say Bullshit! We're about as free as cattle and most people wouldn't know freedom if it were a shopping cart that hit them in the ass and remind me how free you are the next time you pass through a TSA inspection point. Best country ever? Yeah right...if you believe that then by all means party on up, wave the flag and be happy, your programming is complete."

I couldn't believe how many people stood around watching all this transpire and they were not a happy bunch. I said "Have a good one dude, I'm outta here" and left that section of the store. In the course of the rest of my shopping I'd run across some of those other shoppers and they all gave me shitty looks but were afraid to say anything and I just smiled and said howdy.

Most of us don't know what true freedom really is. All of us have been brought up as oppressed and controlled slaves. Always reminds me of when I was young listening to Harriet Tubmen story when she said: "I freed a thousand slaves I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves." That didn't make much sense to me when I was a kid. How could someone not know that they were enslaved? Older and wiser as years tend to do if you're paying attention, and you can see it every day. Most do not know they are slaves. Since becoming awake, I always envision the slaves partying and launching fireworks while wearing chains and not even noticing the shackles of their own enslavement while they celebrate their "freedoms".

I think you're right, even most of the awakened don't really "know" what true freedom is because it's very hard to do unless you live totally off grid. I'd like to see a gif where if you pass your mouse over it the invisible shackles become visible, certain situations like the one you described and others.

Correct, none of us have lived in a truly free society. All that we have is an idea of what true freedom is.

I did that with Javascript many HTML programming years ago.

These days, I think HTML 5 will allow you to do the same thing.

Reminds me of an encounter I had with some politicians standing with signs for local government elections. I said to them- show me a way I can wake up in the morning and not owe anyone anything and you will get my vote. Your job is to make it safe for me to own property and not be liable for a never-ending tax over and over.

They were scratching their heads over that.
