For the first time, Russia’s armed forces have conducted war games with the participation of new Platform-M combat robots. In the course of the exercises by the Baltic Fleet, which took place in mid-June near Kaliningrad, the robotic combat platforms, armed with grenade launchers and Kalashnikov rifles, saw their first action, executing their military missions alongside their live colleagues. The dry runs coincided with the multinational Saber Strike 2014 and Baltops 2014 exercises being carried out by NATO in the same area.

How time changes.....faster than my ideas. While still in the army I designed the same type of vehicle shown in this presentation but driven by a human in a lay back position and with three TV's in front of him...it would had been a tank killer with four rockets and one machine gun.....speed of 40-50 mph and able to raise itself up and down 10 inches in order to be able to hide in the bushes.
Even thou this presentation is a possibility as of yet is not possible since the electronics are still to sensitive and must be secured in a much more safe environment for those kinds of movements and speed.....one way to do it would be to encase the electronics in sections in liquid plastic......a comp should be able to detect which section is not working right and be replaced with another section right away.
As always, as when I really like something, my mind is already working on different type of uses, and improvement, for it.
I don't know how to build one but it keeps my mind going.

Maybe we will regraduate back into a standard line presentation military away from guerrilla, where national disputes are settled by sending our best robots to battle each other in honorable line formations.
If your robots fail, your country must succumb to the whims of the other.

I saw a movie like that where one American soldier and one Japanese soldier were take to an abandoned island to fight it out, both soldiers had honor and they killed the extra troop that were send in by their respective sides to help them out.

hahahaha....now that's some propaganda if I've ever seen it.
Talk about dumbing down the American armed forces to think they would engage a robot with light machine guns!!!
And the heli's being shot down with ease is total bullshit as they miss their target.
Let me tella something....that video is backwards.
The helis have on board computers that don't miss once the rocket is locked on.
The GI's wont be shooting that piece of garbage with light machine guns or even heavy machine guns....it would be a stinger missile.
Now the robot thingy is not controlled by a computer making it look like its accurate as hell....but a soldier using a laptop viewing multiple camera's and joy stick...that's laughable to say the least....that's a feat in its self to control it the way the video portrays....Total propaganda bullshit.
Love the cobra heli wimpy rockets like it doesn't do a damn thing to he robot.
Switch it all around to see the reality of it with the heli's firing a rocket made to penetrate a tank and the soldiers using stingers or an RPG instead of the light worthless machine guns.
I'm not even going to go into the electronic jamming capabilities we have that would stop that piece of garbage dead in its tracks...Russia doesn't have electronic warfare like we do.

Cool stuff, but in the end it is an artist's video -- not the real thing.
I think US and Russian hardware are good but in different ways...

Yeah..their stuff is built to work most of the time under extreme conditions. A lot of our very costly equip. breaks down if you look at it hard..

Actually what is shown ain't all, i've seen them at night during engagements in the sky, they are much further advanced than robots with AI.

Spanish is wholly unsuitable for communicating in human affairs, it is meant only for lips of the Gods.
Many Spanish speakers get trapped into thinking they are.
