McDonalds is more evasive, only cellulose looks to be in the batter/breading, meat is pure according to the list:

Cellulose makes up the cell wall of all green plants and other plants. Mostly indigestible to humans, and that's usually a good thing, in the sense that it is the "bulk fiber" that is of benefit.

No, I'm not defending the "food" that BK or any other fast food company sells. It ain't food, it's dead material, and should be avoided.

I think that is a good way to deal with it. Accept it isn't food. But some people still will. Is this additive a problem?

This 1998 WHO study into microcrystalline cellulose toxicity says that it isn't.
