I'm not talking about my girlfriend, although she's fun too, but the CZ 452 Ultra Lux in .22lr. Super accurate and super smooth. With a 28.6" long barrel, it's deadly accurate. It's really a mini Mauser. I swapped out the dovetail sight for a peep on the rear tangent sight, and also installed a higher quality firing pin spring. This rifle is so accurate that everyone comes out looking like a hero. This is an heirloom quality rifle and I'll never get rid of it. I may be buried with it. Reviews say the trigger needs work but this one is perfect with no creep, and will only get better. I should've ordered a lefty but this was an impulse buy as I've always wanted a CZ in .22lr, and there it was on the shelf. I shoot it fine from the left. The quality is amazing and the hunt is on for one in .308. Girl gets home in ten minutes and it's off to the range, then a short hike for some stranger danger. :)

Yup. A mile loop trail in the forest. I go one way she goes the other way. When I found her she had "rolled her ankle" and needed help. So, I "helped" her.

Too bad they discontinued the 452 American. That CZ was great for those of us who need scopes.

What I liked about CZ is that they make a left-handed .22 lr bolt action. The only other I know of is the [expensive] Anschütz. Soon, I may get one....

Is your gun finicky when it comes to ammo?

Its only seen around 150 rounds of CCI Minis. Picked up a sling, two more 10rd mags, and a slightly lighter trigger spring from the hardward store.

ETA The spring is #144 from Ace Hardware.
