FT economics editor Chris Giles shows how new statistics from the International Comparison Programme put China's GDP ahead of the US this year on current projections. He says this relies on a recalculation of the overall cost of living in China.

Only a matter of time. China is in the business of conducting business. The US is in the business of conducting war -- and going into debt to do it. Only a matter of time before the empire falls.

Not a surprise. China actually produces (questionable quality aside) they at least have the means of producing stuff the world wants. The U.S. exported all of its manufacturing and means of production to China.

With the rise of robotics, some manufacturing is actually being moved back into the US.

The main problem is that we have massive government spending, a morally corrupted culture, perpetual war, open borders, etc.

Not a surprise. China actually produces (questionable quality aside) they at least have the means of producing stuff the world wants. The U.S. exported all of its manufacturing and means of production to China.

With all the EPA mandates and taxes on business there is no possible way we can produce what china does for even double the cost.

I don't think Chinese would even want to produce it at that small of a price.

remember a few months back about china building way to many homes there were whole citys without a person living there so I would say china could be the next one that crashes

Either that, or they're busy mortgaging all the slaves that used to live in dog cages over to those stylish dog cages.
