Is the light in the lower right a street light or the sun?

What direction were you facing? West at sunset? East?

The light was a street light, it was around 5:30pm
I was facing east towards the ocean
Possible waterspout?

Thats was just a worm hole opening up to allow travel into and out of our galaxy. Doesnt happen very often so that was a good catch.

Sunset was behind you so the clouds with orange glow were higher. The "shadow" could be something in front of you blocking the view of the clouds. For that to be a shadow projected onto the clouds, it would have been another cloud behind you.... which is possible. I have seen those kinds of effects on clouds before.

If it was in front of you, that would have been a large twister, but not large (high) enough to get into the sunlight since we don't see it glowing. In that case, it was not a shadow but an occlusion.

It's shadows fallin', like the rain on a midnight sun...

Wow, I think that's it, great deduction ! There were some pretty big clouds blocking the sun, never seen anything like this before. Never heard of an occlusion either - now I have, Thanks :)
Have to say, the cloud formations in Florida are pretty amazing. From sunsets to weather/rain patterns, it's really amazing to see the all the variations

That is indeed strange. It's almost as if the land is standing upright on the right side.

That's because we're rotating away from the sun, thank God gravity is keeping things attached !
