We have no more "rights", we only have "wrongs".

Take this a BIG step further. Your silence IS your guilt. I have been watching history documentaries about WW2... particularly Japan. Looking at the history of Japan from 1895 and forward, we see an increasingly socialized and communistic people. Schools run by government took control over the rearing of the children. Old ways were replaced... and a communal thinking replaced individual honor.

The people did not hold to their principles and buckled to politically correct ways and kept silent for fear of being collected up and disappeared.

Amerika is full of this now. The world is being channeled into the same hell the Japs ended up seeing. Our silence when principles were being violated has condemned us all. Those who spoke out have no blood on their hands. Most chose the feel-good easy way of going with the flow.

"defendant's refusal to answer police questions before his arrest and before being Mirandized could be admitted into court as substantive evidence of his guilt."

oh and i thought i didn't want to talk to the cop because there's a significant chance that he's a real sadistic prick who is paid to hurt people with impunity.

the policing we see today is part jobs-creation program, that went into effect some time in the last 20 years.

seems like it went into high gear post 9-11.

It's like a fvcking tidal wave of news stories that relate to the subject of the US police state.

Bunch of people are getting "schooled" on the new police states concept on the term, COMPLIANCE and what happens when you do not "faster than an eye blink" comply with them and their "police" orders.

In many ways the crap happening now is helping expose to the larger public how much cops are not their friends of an older age/time.

The debate has started and we can only hope now that a spotlight is shining on their "antics" now, will wake more people up, to what is a cancer that has been growing in plain sight and under their noses.

These people change ,alter laws to suit themselves because they have become a LAW unto themselves.

The only thing is that they are the real crooks masquerading as snow white.

The 'damning' silence was not a refusal to answer police questions. Rather, at the scene of the car crash, the defendant had not inquired about the welfare of those in the other vehicle. This, the prosecutor argued, was proof of his guilt.

The conviction was not because he remained silent. The conviction was because the jury decided he should have asked questions.

Note that due process starts with notice and by receiving notice the recipient is endowed with the right to inquire. Going silent means you give up your right to inquire. By not inquiring you proceed to hearing (conviction).

Learn that asking is As-King.

Actually, Bill Clinton added a whole bunch of cops pre-9/11:

http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2001/11/invisible_cops.html

Tho, 9/11 was a tyrannical watershed event with the PATRIOT Act and the new NDAA. Now all those 'added' cops are militarized soldiers who just want a chance to kill.

Bunch of the "newer" cops are x-military adrenalin junkies that enjoyed the adrenalin rush during combat!

Now they are civilians "?" some are still in the military as non active reserve,

they have automatic reflexes trained into them, with no original thoughts just following the trained protocols that they learned and being the automation's they were trained to be .

So the donut munchers x-military want/crave that old-time-adrenalin rush!

Shoot to kill any perceived threat!

Imo!

One has to wonder how "the state" is allowed to appeal to the highest court in the land,

being "the state" is immune to injury. Any verdict would be a mute point, not a definitive one.
