They tried, I just played the we'll get it at the pediatricians office. Pediatrician knows we're anti-vac and won't even bother asking. So win-win. :)
Only thing I allowed was the Vitamin K shot. Not even the anti-bacterial ointment for her eyes. Nurse was like why not? I said I've read that it's pretty irritating for the baby's eyes, and since the mother doesn't have an STD its really not needed. I'll keep an eye on her eyes, and if I start seeing a discharge, and or discoloration I'll take her in to be seen. Last daughter didn't get the ointment either and she's okay. That was that.
They tried to get my wife to take the DTap vaccine. Wife just said she had it during last pregnancy (she didn't) which was less than 5 years ago. They asked me and my wife to get a flu shot once flu season starts. I just nodded my head and said okay. Doctor leaves the room I said it'll be a cold day in hell before I get a flu vaccine. Wife agreed and said I've been handling it well as I'm not having to manage any confrontations. Let them think they are god, and just leave knowing that they are not.

lol thanks. Well we do have 2 girls now. I'm of German descent and wife is of Polish descent. So both strong European heritages. All is well, much better than our first one. She was under weight and spent a week in the NICU. This one was birthed at the correct weight, and has had no issues at all eating or sleeping. So far so good.

Identical thing here. I let them do the vit K drops because wife did C section and not sure about the chemical complications. The eye drops I allowed also because I remembered they used to use some silver type drops, not anymore though. We did the 2 day mandatory pediatrician visit and have not gone back yet. Did find one pediatrician thats cool with no vaccines but is about 40 minutes away, needless to say we wont be running up there every other week for them to tell us what percentile anything is.

Nope this is our second. We aren't sure if we will try for a 3rd or not. Yeah I would like a boy. I kind of see it this way. Woman carry the genes, boys carry the family name. :)

Yep!
On my fathers side of my family, my father, one of 5 brothers from my grandfather of that side. Which to my knowledge the other brothers never had any boys, all girls!
I was the only male son born. When I go, so does that line/branch of the family, to carry the name forward.

Yep that's SOP (standard operating procedure) on the birth certificate the father is little more than a footnote. I have been doing some reading in that. You can reclaim the baby after it was given up by the mother during the birth certificate filing. But I can't remember the statute of limitations.

Little girls are a blast, they will talk your ear off and the things kids say can be hilarious. One of my brothers has 3 little girls. Little Laura said to me, "I'm only 3, and Emily is 4, so she is taller than me." I asked, well when do you turn 4?
She thought for a minute...and said, "after I'm 3!"

Yeah haven't been really looking forward to those arguments. lol My oldest daughter will be starting school in 2 years. I already cringe at the thought of the amount of garbage I'm going to have to have her unlearn so that she isn't a mindless moron like 90% of the rest of the population. Even private schools use curriculum that is based on state standards so you can't get away from it.... Unless you're filthy rich and send your kids off to private schools that executives, and congressman send their kids too.... Which I am not.

Imagine a parents surprise to see undocumented adult men sitting in class next to their young daughters.
They would have me locked up in short order.
Of course this is Mass, a gay liberal Obama loving state, so it probably wouldn't happen anywhere else...or could it?
Mayor: Adult Illegal Aliens With 'Graying' Hair Enrolled in Public Schools
August 27, 2014 - 3:52 PM
By Penny Starr
Thurgood Marshall Middle School in Lynn, MA. (Lynn Public Schools)
(CNSNews.com) – The mayor of Lynn, Mass. says that some of the illegal aliens from Guatemala who are enrolled in her city’s public schools are adults with graying hair and “more wrinkles than I have.”
“They are not all children,” Judith Flanagan Kennedy told reporters at a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday.
“One of the things that we did notice when we were processing some of these students coming in was that they were adults,” she said.
She added that the federal government will not allow school officials to verify their ages, even though one of the students turned out to be 35 years old.
Kennedy said that the majority of those from Guatemala who are enrolling in the Lynn Public Schools claim to be between 14 and 17 years of age.
“But there were people with graying temples, hair around the temples,” said Kennedy, adding that although she did not see these individuals in person, she saw photographs of them in registration paperwork. “There were people with more wrinkles than I have around their eyes.”
However, the school district was directed by the federal government not to verify the age of the foreign enrollees, Kennedy said.
“We were told through a directive from the Department of Justice (DOJ) that we were not to question or verify – attempt to verify these ages,” Kennedy stated at the press conference, hosted by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS).
Kennedy said that she and the school superintendent in Lynn wanted to know why the number of students from Guatemala “almost doubled” from 56 who enrolled during the 2012-13 school year to 101 during the 2013-14 school year.
When CNSNews.com asked whether she could be more specific about how they determined the ages of those enrolled, Kennedy replied that while school personnel cannot ask for age verification, they have confirmed that some of them are in fact adults.
“We have no ability to confront a student directly and demand an accurate age,” Kennedy said. “Every once in a while, we’ll be able to determine that someone is well above the age at which they would be entitled to an education in the Lynn Public Schools.
“For example, if a student does not show up for a few days of classes, we will send our truant officers out to find out what’s going on at that home,” Kennedy explained.
“One example: the woman who answered [the] door said, ‘He’s 35 years old -- he’s not going to show up at school....But we cannot, per DOJ guidelines, we cannot ask them for any more verification of age,” Kennedy said.
“It does become very frustrating,” she added.
In May, the Department of Justice issued a statement to public schools reminding them that they are legally required to enroll all children, regardless of their immigration status.
“You must ensure that you do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national origin, and that students are not barred from enrolling in public schools at the elementary and secondary level on the basis of their own citizenship or immigration status of that of their parents or guardians,” the DOJ statement read.
However, under federal law, “the term ‘child’ means any person within the age limits for which the State provides free public education.” In Massachusetts, those between the ages of 3 and 21 are eligible to attend public school.
