View Full Version : How Can You Tell Whether Russia Has Invaded Ukraine?

Last Thursday the Ukrainian government, echoed by NATO spokesmen, declared that the the Russian military is now operating within Ukraine's borders. Well, maybe it is and maybe it isn't; what do you know? They said the same thing before, most recently on August 13, and then on August 17, each time with either no evidence or fake evidence. But let's give them the benefit of the doubt.

You be the judge. I put together this helpful list of top ten telltale signs that will allow you to determine whether indeed Russia invaded Ukraine last Thursday, or whether Thursday's announcement is yet another confabulation. (Credit to Roman Kretsul).

Because if Russia invaded on Thursday morning, this is what the situation on the ground would look like by Saturday afternoon.

1. Ukrainian artillery fell silent almost immediately. They are no longer shelling residential districts of Donetsk and Lugansk. This is because their locations had been pinpointed prior to the operation, and by Thursday afternoon they were completely wiped out using air attacks, artillery and ground-based rocket fire, as the first order of business. Local residents are overjoyed that their horrible ordeal is finally at an end.

2. The look of military activity on the ground in Donetsk and Lugansk has changed dramatically. Whereas before it involved small groups of resistance fighters, the Russians operate in battalions of 400 men and dozens of armored vehicles, followed by convoys of support vehicles (tanker trucks, communications, field kitchens, field hospitals and so on). The flow of vehicles in and out is non-stop, plainly visible on air reconnaissance and satellite photos. Add to that the relentless radio chatter, all in Russian, which anyone who wants to can intercept, and the operation becomes impossible to hide.

3. The Ukrainian military has promptly vanished. Soldiers and officers alike have taken off their uniforms, abandoned their weapons, and are doing their best to blend in with the locals. Nobody thought the odds of the Ukrainian army against the Russians were any good. Ukraine's only military victory against Russia was at the battle of Konotop in 1659, but at the time Ukraine was allied with the mighty Khanate of Crimea, and, you may have noticed, Crimea is not on Ukraine's side this time around.

4. There are Russian checkpoints everywhere. Local civilians are allowed through, but anyone associated with a government, foreign or domestic, is detained for questioning. A filtration system has been set up to return demobilized Ukrainian army draftees to their native regions, while the volunteers and the officers are shunted to pretrial detention centers, to determine whether they had ordered war crimes to be committed.

5. Most of Ukraine's border crossings are by now under Russian control. Some have been reinforced with air defense and artillery systems and tank battalions, to dissuade NATO forces from attempting to stage an invasion. Civilians and humanitarian goods are allowed through. Businessmen are allowed through once they fill out the required forms (which are in Russian).

6. Russia has imposed a no-fly zone over all of Ukraine. All civilian flights have been cancelled. There is quite a crowd of US State Department staffers, CIA and Mossad agents, and Western NGO people stuck at Borispol airport in Kiev. Some are nervously calling everyone they know on their satellite phones. Western politicians are demanding that they be evacuated immediately, but Russian authorities want to hold onto them until their possible complicity in war crimes has been determined.

7. The usual Ukrainian talking heads, such as president Poroshenko, PM Yatsenyuk and others, are no longer available to be interviewed by Western media. Nobody quite knows where they are. There are rumors that they have already fled the country. Crowds have stormed their abandoned residences, and were amazed to discover that they were all outfitted with solid gold toilets. Nor are the Ukrainian oligarchs anywhere to be found, except for the warlord Igor Kolomoisky, who was found in his residence, abandoned by his henchmen, dead from a heart attack. (Contributed by the Saker.)

8. Some of the over 800,000 Ukrainian refugees are starting to stream back in from Russia. They were living in tent cities, many of them in the nearby Rostov region, but with the winter coming they are eager to get back home, now that the shelling is over. Along with them, construction crews, cement trucks and flatbeds stacked with pipe, cable and rebar are streaming in, to repair the damage from the shelling.

9. There is all sorts of intense diplomatic and military activity around the world, especially in Europe and the US. Military forces are on highest alert, diplomats are jetting around and holding conferences. President Obama just held a press conference to announce that “We don't have a strategy on Ukraine yet.” His military advisers tell him that his usual strategy of “bomb a little and see what happens” is not likely to be helpful in this instance.

10. Kiev has surrendered. There are Russian tanks on the Maidan Square. Russian infantry is mopping up the remains of Ukraine's National Guard. A curfew has been announced. The operation to take Kiev resembled “Shock and Awe” in Baghdad: a few loud bangs and then a whimper.

Armed with this list, you too should be able to determine whether or not Russia has invaded Ukraine last Thursday.

.

Andrew Kosher Kramer strikes again! "Ukraine Reports" a Russian invasion...."in what Ukrainian and Western military officials are calling a stealth invasion." One gets the sense that if puppet Kiev and NATO were to report that a Russian missile shot down Santa's Claus's sleigh, The Times would publish the claim as a headline.

And just what exactly is a "stealth invasion" anyway? Is that unlike a non-stealth, cross-border tank, artillery and infantry invasion, in which the invading party sends out an E-mail just as the invasion is taking place? Imagine, "We are invading you", with a You Tube video attached, "These are our tanks and infantrymen rolling across your border in non-stealthy manner."

Evidently, the stealth Russian invasion is so stealthy that no one has actually seen it. Why is there neither a video nor a satellite images to confirm this "stealth invasion" of "tanks, artillery, and infantry"? Perhaps the Russians have some super-secret technology that renders tanks, artillery and soldiers invisible?

This lengthy bit of mendacious manure goes on to quote dubious sources while barely even acknowledging Russian denials (in just a single sentence). Indeed, before the fighting had even started, the numerous freedom fighters of the Donetsk army were known to possess their own sophisticated weapons. Donetsk forces have also, on several occasions, captured additional weaponry from the Ukrainian military. The fact is, the boys in Donetsk are kicking Kiev's arse without the need for the Russian invasion which the Globalists and their media are hoping for. (Ha ha!) Absent a real invasion, The Slimes is now trying to invent one, a "stealth" one!

But buried deep within this propaganda poop pie, the discerning reader does find this very telling diamond of truth:

"On the highway in Novoazovsk on Tuesday, Sgt. Ihor Sharapov, a soldier with the Ukrainian border patrol unit, said he had seen tanks drive across the border, although they were marked with flags of the Donetsk People’s Republic. “I tell you they are Russians, but this is what proof I have,” said Sgt. Aleksei Panko, holding up his thumb and index finger to form a zero."

So, if the puppet Ukrainian fighters themselves openly admit that there is "zero proof" of a Russian invasion, why in bloody hell are Sulzberger's sleazy scribblers publishing such lies, front and center, on their influential front page? Answer: Because the dirty rat bastards at the Globo-Zionist Slimes, just as they did in 1939, want to provoke a war between the West (NATO) and a disobedient nation (Russia). And for that accusation, your well informed reporter has plenty of proof!

France says it cannot deliver Mistral warship to Russia over Ukraine

“The situation is serious. Russia’s recent actions in the east of Ukraine contravene the fundamental principles of European security,” said a statement from the office of President Francois Hollande.

"The president of the Republic has concluded that despite the prospect of ceasefire, which has yet to be confirmed and put in place, the conditions under which France could authorise the delivery of the first helicopter carrier are not in place."

The office informed AFP that the suspension would be next reviewed before November.

"Legally, nothing has changed and the contract is still in force, and the first vessel is still due for delivery on November 1. But a political decision has been taken. The President is saying that if nothing changes, he cannot allow the delivery to go through," one of Hollande's representatives told Russia's RIA news agency.

As the rift over Ukraine has widened, Russian officials have repeatedly said that they would accept the French government’s failure to deliver the ships, as long as it paid the penalty for breaking the contract, which, could potentially exceed the cost of the ships themselves.

"This is not a tragedy, though of course the news is unpleasant. It will not affect our armament plans. We will act in accordance with international laws and the statutes of the contract," said Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov, in a statement.

The two ships were commissioned by Russia in 2011 at a cost of $1.6 billion. The first of these, the Vladivostok, was due to come into service at the end of this year, with the second, the Sevastopol, due to be completed in 2015.

France’s suspension does not fall under the sectoral sanctions the EU and the US imposed upon Russia for purported meddling in the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine, introduced last month. That raft of sanctions did not cover deals signed before their imposition.
But it could be covered under new sanctions sanctions the EU is expected to introduce this week, which may earn France a temporary reprieve from compensation under the terms of the contract.

While Moscow officials earlier admitted that in terms of efficiency and versatility the cutting-edge Mistral has no equivalent in the Russian Navy, the deal was always considered controversial, as France was a Cold War adversary, and is a founding member of NATO.

Indeed, there had been speculation of NATO taking over the Mistral order from Russia, following a proposal from a group of US congressmen back in May. Earlier this week, the Alliance chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen did not rule out the possibility, but said that it “remains a national decision, not for NATO to interfere.” In the aftermath of the announcement from Hollande, NATO maintained that it wasn't forcing France to suspend the sale.
Previously US President Barack Obama said France should “press the pause button” on the deal, while fighting in Ukraine is in progress.

Previously, French officials resisted, citing concerns over reputational damage, and saying that the financial penalties might hurt Paris more than Moscow. Even if France does now decide to sell the ships to someone else, it will have to refit them, as every aspect, from the helicopter pads to hull alloys is custom-made to Russian specifications.

Easy...your masters tell all you slaves an servants that Russia has invaded Ukraine...and you all as obedient servants and slaves of the master are expeted to believe the lies your masters tell you are Truth.

That is the progression of the absolute capitalist or tyrant...

persuasion force annihilation.

Please believe the lie I'm telling you is Truth or else be annihilated.

The Russians have not invaded Ukraine.

They have existed there longer than Canadians have existed in Canada.

Basically the fact that you all have to think and speculate at this point months and months later from when the lie promoted as Truth was sold to you all to buy reveals that you all are lazy mentally.

you require someone else to do the thinking for you...a master.

I do not require a master...

I see masters as servants that I can hire or fire...supply power to or help/serve or slave for or refuse to supply power to and not help/serve or slave for.

If there is no master around to serve me...I'm the master and can serve myself.

It's always nice though to have someone around that knows how to do what needs to be done better than you...because what needs to be done can be done quicker.

If the plan of the Ukrainian leaders in Kiev was to flush a pile of their countrymen down the toilet...Then their plan worked..It was victorious.

It's official now...none of you know how to wage war.

Do you think if it was actually possible to physically harm me I would be visible to any of you?

If there was the slightest chance that you could physically annihilate me.

I would be forced to annihilate you...and I would...and get away with it...sorry.

Just like the Russians in the defensive position.

Ultimately to get the Russians off the land they have been living on for centuries...requires total annihilation.

The Ukrainian leadership is sending conscripts with guns to their heads to fight the Russians which have to resist...or they are dead.

Just like in Syria...The regime can not step down and the army can not surreneder....or their heads will be chopped off...

You all get a paper cut in the USA and suffer PTSD.

You all have lived in the lap of luxury in the USA for so long...you have zero idea what is going on...you all are consumers of fantasy which you love while you hate reality.
