No malt barley from Northern Idaho, none from Montana and now none from Alberta. Keep those storms coming, won't take too much more. All the barley sprouted in the head now.

Guess no one wants to drink beer over the coming winter.

I switched to drinking mostly cheap whiskey awhile back. It costs less and is less fattening. Two or three oz. in the evening seems to be good medicine for my aches and pains.

Beer isn't fattening. It's a healthy probiotic fermented food, when left intact, and not stabilized (killed) for shelf life.

Whiskey is poison, as are all distilled alcoholic products, although I'm sure they make a decent disinfectant in a pinch.

A malting barley shortage is NOT good news at all. That crop is expensive as it is, and has to be perfect.

Shit.
