She's a 12 yr. old Boykin Spaniel. The official state dog of South Carolina.
I brought her home yesterday and introduced her to my English Pointer and Brittany.
I took over caring for her from someone I know here that is moving and doesn't have the time to love and care for her properly. She was not abused.
She spent the first half of her life hunting ducks and jumping out of boats.
She has one hind leg with a bum knee, but she gets around fine and can climb the stairs.
She is very calm and is just the sweetest old girl you can imagine.
My Brittany's health is failing and I don't know how much time she has. Hopefully my new Boykin will keep my Pointer company for a few more years and through the transition.
