Could always merge the 2 threads on how the cops killed 140 citzens in august and know one cares, compared to one cop killed and everything turns into SIEGE mentality.

Hilarious... it's a "cowardly ambush" when someone kills a cop from cover, but when American snipers kill many brown people in their country, it is unquestionably heroic.
What a joke.

Let's not forget the very brave servicemen and women who fly drones attacking the indigs in foreign lands from the comfort of their chair at some facility in Nevada. They receive medals for their valiant service remotely flying killer robots, which I'm quite sure they deserve.
America's heroes hard at work and they risk their lives everyday* protecting America while getting to play REAL LIFE video games.

*driving back and forth to work in Nevada is hazardous you know!

"...he believes more than a few vacationers may have come to the area with only a cursory understanding of the danger they might face this weekend"
I am not sticking up for the cop killer, but I suspect the danger is not from the him (as implied), but from the cops out to get him (remember the Blue Nissan truck that shot up when they were searching for Dorner in LA).

I know very little but i am willing to bet one of the bacon boys pissed him off.
He snuffed that cop right outside of their barracks.
That is not something haphazardly done.
That is clear intent as to what level the bar is set.
It also makes them very afraid.
Any one of them could have gotten their ticket punched.
They have to put him down and with extreme prejudice or he will be the spark that lites the fuse on the powedered keg of discontent.

Along those lines, over 20 years ago a good friend of mine went down to the local party street for the big Halloween celebration where tens of thousand turn out to par-tay. His Halloween outfit included an overcoat. Up the sleeve of his overcoat he had a laser sight from one of his rifles (but of course no gun). There are dozens and dozens of cops at this shindig, and they gather in groups at the corners of intersections. Well my buddy positioned himself with his date sitting at a table on a balcony of a club overlooking a group of donut munchers. Then he casually began to fuck with them using his laser. First he got their attention by making the laser dot dance around their feet. Then he started placing the laser on individual donut munchers where the others could see it - including once where he placed the dot on the cowboy hat of a DPS Trooper. Boy howdy did they get seriously agitated!!! They were on their radios talking to other donut munchers and looking around trying to find the culprit. Of course he quit before he got caught in that crowd of tens of thousands.
