Both are correct. Stereotypes are based on the truth, but also there are exceptions. There are plenty of good, intelligent people of all races.

The problem is the blatant racism and discrimination against White people, and the double standard that exists in Western countries against them/us.

Stereotypes arise because they are generally reflective of the norm. There are always exceptions. But the stereotype fits more often than not. It is good you have found a decent Black man. But he is, apparently, at the extreme of the Bell Curve of both intelligence and civilized behavior.

Please do not make the mistake of thinking the exception is the norm. Or that the exception should govern how you react to the norm.
