While it's a great idea, you can buy an 80% lower, then have the machine. It's basically good for a 1 time use as you cannot sell the lower once completed. So what do you do with the machine afterwards?

Here's a thought:

1) make more than one gun for yourself

OR

2) sell the machine to someone else

Thinking small only works sometimes.

Rent the machine out. Or create a club, with membership fees put towards maintenance of the machine.

BATFags view any of the above activities as 'manufacturing', however I can think of at least one way of doing things that would not be 'manufacturing'.

Allowing someone else to use the machine without your input is "manufacturing"?

If YOU are the OWNER of the machine, then yes. Allowing someone to BORROW *YOUR* machine would constitute 'manufacturing'.

(There's a hint in one of the above sentences.)

What if I am the debtor, and the bank "owns" the machine? :D

Or what about a trust or "corporate person" "owning" it?
