just curious as to whether people here have adjusted their bug out thinking for EBOLA
" shelter in place " orders ?
big city lockdown ( Dallas ? )
I have 3 tyvex suits cached out in the bush
not sure they'll help, but at least I have them now before any panic
mainly " hoping " my BOL remoteness does the job
THE KEY is getting to my BOL in time
i'd like to hear from anyone in Texas

Unless one has inside information allowing them to completely escape from a metro area before "it" hits the blades, one should simply shelter-in-place once the panic starts. By "completely escape" I mean get completely out of the metro area and well on one's way to rural shelter. Once the highways begin to flood with hordes experiencing abject terror, you are safer to simply get out of the way by staying home.
Ideally, everyone here should have been out of the metro areas years ago, but alas...

Yes the possibility of escaping from a metro area, during a panic is probably next to none unless, you are in the outskirts of the metro area... Since I am working in Istanbul half time, and so far haven't gotten any illuminati tips on the future to my knowledge. I'll put my ears to the rails, and listen, and when I start hearing rumbling I decide to not go to work...

Do you have an EU passport? If you have reasonable warning, I would recommend you flee by land or sea if an outbreak occurs in Istanbul or western Turkey (Anatolia). Cross the frontier into Greece or Bulgaria, or, rent a boat to sail to Bulgaria or Romania. Do not attempt to fly.

Yes EU passport, but I have a bugout location in Turkey, see my avatar and the link beneath. Further have a house in Sweden in a small town, generally I am working two weeks in Istanbul and have a one week holiday in Sweden. If I start noticing an increase in number of cases I won't go to Turkey. If it comes while I am in Turkey I attempt to go to bug out prior to panic...
Just saw that black death started the European pandemic in Constantinopel

If an outbreak occurs, I definitely hope you're in Sweden when it does.
The place you have in western Turkey sounds nice! :)
Is there a bridge at Gallipoli, or do you have to use a ferry?

It is a ferry, it is however possible to drive around the opposite direction of the Marmara lake but it would be about 350 miles vs 200...
