it is exactly like you are in the original movie. it's not even like playing a game. oh, and don't let your kids play it or be around it. it's completely terrifying. in a bad way. it causes me stress to actually play it. the ai is insane as well. it's like the game is actually thinking. nothing is the same twice, and the aliens react completely randomly & differently everytime based on what your character is doing. it's insane.

TY for the recomendation. I havent had a good horror game in a while, theres one "The Evil Within" IIRC the title correctly, that looked really good. Its coming out over the winter.

I used to be a heavy gamer, now I buy a full priced game maybe once or twice a year, so I try to be very choosey with them. I saw the preview for the Alien game and it looked good.

pcs are better imo if you are serious gamer and play a lot. if you casually play, there's no reason to have that kind of money in a setup. plus, i like to play multiplayer with the kids, and that isn't happening around a pc. the ps4 network has tons of free games, so we do that angle as well. anyway, this is a seriously good game.

i do wish i had steam with it though, steam rocks. i did get some stuff for my laptop this summer. :D

When i was a younger lad back in the end of the 90s and beginning of the 00s we actually rented buildings to have a local area networks where we did nothing but play games.. and that was without internet. People still go to LAN parties with their computers. Don't see console gamers do the same.

Conclusion: PC is better and more social than console.

You can also do LAN online now with services like Tunngle. It simulates LAN online so you're able to play old games online now that were only LAN (Like Trine 1) or games they no longer have online support (like Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2.)
