“I was bribed by billionaires, I was bribed by the Americans to report…not exactly the truth.”

- Udo Ulfkotte, a former editor of one of Germany’s main daily publications, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung
Some readers will see this and immediately dismiss it as Russian propaganda since the interview appeared on RT. This would be a serious mistake.
Whether you want to admit it or not, CIA control of the media in the U.S. and abroad is not conspiracy theory, it is conspiracy fact.
Carl Bernstein, who is best known for his reporting on Watergate, penned a 25,000 word article in Rolling Stone after spending six months looking at the relationship of the CIA and the press during the Cold War years. Below is an excerpt, but you can read the entire thing here (http://www.carlbernstein.com/magazine_cia_and_media.php).

In 1953, Joseph Alsop, then one of America’s leading syndicated columnists, went to the Philippines to cover an election. He did not go because he was asked to do so by his syndicate. He did not go because he was asked to do so by the newspapers that printed his column. He went at the request of the CIA.

Alsop is one of more than 400 American journalists who in the past twenty?five years have secretly carried out assignments for the Central Intelligence Agency, according to documents on file at CIA headquarters. Some of these journalists’ relationships with the Agency were tacit; some were explicit. There was cooperation, accommodation and overlap. Journalists provided a full range of clandestine services—from simple intelligence gathering to serving as go?betweens with spies in Communist countries.

Reporters shared their notebooks with the CIA. Editors shared their staffs. Some of the journalists were Pulitzer Prize winners, distinguished reporters who considered themselves ambassadors without?portfolio for their country. Most were less exalted: foreign correspondents who found that their association with the Agency helped their work; stringers and freelancers who were as interested in the derring?do of the spy business as in filing articles; and, the smallest category, full?time CIA employees masquerading as journalists abroad.

In many instances, CIA documents show, journalists were engaged to perform tasks for the CIA with the consent of the managements of America’s leading news organizations.
Like any good intelligence agency, the CIA learned from its mistakes upon being exposed, and has since adjusted tactics. This is where the concept of “non-official cover” comes into play. The term was recently described by German journalist Udo Ulfkotte, in a blistering RT interview. Mr. Ulfkotte was previously a respected journalist for one of Germany’s main dailies, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankfurter_Allgemeine_Zeitung) (FAZ), so he is no small fry.
“Non-official cover” occurs when a journalist is essentially working for the CIA, but it’s not in an official capacity. This allows both parties to reap the rewards of the partnership, while at the same time giving both sides plausible deniability. The CIA will find young journalists and mentor them. Suddenly doors will open up, rewards will be given, and before you know it, you owe your entire career to them. That’s essentially how it works. But don’t take it from me…

In the U.S. on many occasions when there is a specialist needed for news coverage, they will bring in a CIA asset to discuss the finer points of the situation. More than often they are given a title as some sort of x-state or other department position.

Obama and company support propaganda, and made it legal again back in 2013.

I don't see any reason why one wouldn't be well within their right to call the entirety of MSM only propaganda.

This guy ,he couldnt pretend any longer and had to speak the truth even if it endangers himself because the truth and our conscience become more important than life or death even.

We have the choice to give life to the lies each day of our lives or just suddenly stop and say ,f#%k it Ive had enough and from now on I live by my conscience alone .

If people dont do this then they live the lie.

And so I guess ,become part of the lie and then you become the lie , and then well its maybe too late then .

Not as dramatic as Udo Ulfkotte's story, but related to the war against truth in western corporate news:

A Thomson Reuters data scientist questioned the Black Lives Matter narrative—so the company fired him...

A chain of events—beginning with the death of George Floyd and culminating with a statistical analysis of Black Lives Matter’s claims—would turn the 44-year-old data scientist’s life upside-down. By June 2021, Kriegman would be locked out of Reuters’s servers, denounced by his colleagues, and fired by email. Kriegman had committed an unpardonable offense: he directly criticized the Black Lives Matter movement in the company’s internal communications forum, debunked Reuters’s own biased reporting, and violated a corporate taboo. Driven by what he called a “moral obligation” to speak out, Kriegman refused to celebrate unquestioningly the BLM narrative and his company’s “diversity and inclusion” programming; to the contrary, he argued that Reuters was exhibiting significant left-wing bias in the newsroom and that the ongoing BLM protests, riots, and calls to “defund the police” would wreak havoc on minority communities. Week after week, Kriegman felt increasingly disillusioned by the Thomson Reuters line. Finally, on the first Tuesday in May 2021, he posted a long, data-intensive critique of BLM’s and his company’s hypocrisy. He was sent to Human Resources and Diversity & Inclusion for the chance to reform his thoughts.

He refused—so they fired him. [cont'd]

In a column posted to social media, Speaking Freely: Why I resigned from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation , Tara Henley, who joined the public broadcaster in 2013, said working there today, “is to embrace cognitive dissonance and to abandon journalistic integrity … it is to consent to the idea that a growing list of subjects are off the table, that dialogue itself can be harmful. That the big issues of our time are already settled.

“It is to capitulate to certainty, to shut down critical thinking, to stamp out curiosity. To keep one’s mouth shut, to not ask questions, to not rock the boat … How could good journalism possibly be done under such conditions? How could any of this possibly be healthy for society?

“It is to allow sweeping societal changes like lockdowns, vaccine mandates, and school closures to roll out — with little debate. To see billionaires amass extraordinary wealth and bureaucrats amass enormous power — with little scrutiny. And to watch the most vulnerable among us die of drug overdoses — with little comment.

“It is to pretend that the ‘woke’ worldview is near universal — even if it is far from popular with those you know, speak to, and interview and read.”

Henley said the national public broadcaster is besieged by a journalistic culture obsessed with race and identity politics.

In her newsroom, she said, CBC employees had to racially profile who they booked for on-air appearances and, “actively book more people of some races and less of others,” while in job interviews the CBC’s concerns were not about qualifications and experience but adherence to progressive orthodoxy...

Henley’s complaints about the CBC have been made by conservative critics for decades. What’s different is a former CBC employee who says she’s on the political left is saying it.

Great to see people calling out the fake news media to their faces (Canada's CBC in this instance) and getting lots of views while doing this.

This video is on Youtube less than 24 hours with 540,000 views and 60K thumbs up!
