What happens if the owner of stocks and all his relatives die?

MNeagle, I guess I should have been more specific.

So lets just say, that your family owns X number of stocks and owns X number of estates and has X amount of cash and then LITERALLY all of your family and people on trusts etc die, i.e. EBOLA, where does that all go too?

Bagels.

& eventually "unclaimed assets" of the state. Sits in limbo & 'poof'; it's gone.

yep, who ever claims it gets it. Seeing as all register-able property is held by Cede and Co already, I would not be too worried about it. It's already been sorted out. There aren't many bearer type assets around anymore so not much of an issue there. We know that money has no value so no issue there either. The only thing is real property and that's already been cede'd.

Isn't it traditionally Mondays that tend to be black in October? Usually some bad news came during Friday causing a drop towards end of trading, followed up with more bad news over weekend. And BAM everyone wants to get out of the market on Monday...

Monday will be the thirteenth anyway...
