Texas nurse Nina Pham is the first person to contract Ebola within the U.S. She's currently being treated at a Dallas hospital — but what will happen to her pet dog?

It was the same question raised in response to a nurse who contracted Ebola in Spain. The Madrid later government made the decision to have the woman's dog euthanized, over fears it could be a carrier of the virus.

I think some people will be far more upset, and likely to turn violent, if "the authorities" try to kill their pets, than if they demand human victims be locked up. People in Spain were very angry when they killed that nurse's dog. In America, with so many armed pet-owners, uh oh...

My vet told me years ago that when any virus was found to transfer from an animal to a man that he was going to fold up his business.

don't cats and dogs give live brith like humans so why would they not be able to carry the virus
