Didnt look like it would save my back at all Ponce. Not sure what kind of wood he had there but I would use that for kindling. I'd also use a little hatchet I have to split it. Now put a piece of oak under that thing and lets see how it does. Even the longer piece of wood he was splitting, it looks like he was struggling.

Well attempting to split some OZ hardwood with that thing , just wont cut it.............

I could see a use for it if I just wanted to have it handy to split some kindling real quick to get a fire going. In the summer maybe put an attachment on it to crush beer cans too. :)

Have working on it, how to make it better for hard wood......you can make the head in two parts and when is about six inches from the bottom it would split in two and that would also split the wood....hard to explain but I am sure that it works.

Believe it or not I did improve one of Tesla's ideas....made 33% more efficient...college only teaches what can be done and not how to think so that.....if you did not learned it in college it then doesn't work hahahahhaahahh........but of course you have those lucky ones that do apply what they learned in college either to make it better or to come up with something better.......those are the ones who are smart an intelligent, not many of those.

If there are any electronic Eng. here I can tell you how one single camera can take pictures that you can see in one or one hundred monitors......I call it "TV 360", going around at 31 revolutions per second.......center positive, monitors negative.......it you are worth your salt you can do it.

Man no way that thing work on real wood. Real wood meaning something hardwood that makes heat. He was splitting pine or balsa or some other kindling as mentioned above. I understand the inertia deal but wow.
