Halloween computer virus?

My computer, and cell phone, both crapped out on me yesterday. Today everything is working fine, like nothing happened. Have you heard of any weird computer viruses on halloween?

I keep all my antivirus and malware software up to date, and they found nothing, after multiple scans in both normal mode and safe mode.

Anyway, I'm concerned I might be infected, but can't find anything related in online searches, so I thought I'd ask you folks.

I ruled that out. My old IT tech work skills kicked in, I could ping websites fast and quick, but my browser's would not work. I use firefox mostly. What happened was firefox would load up google as a startup page. I could type in a search, and it searched fine. Any link I clicked on I got a blank white screen. My favorites would act like they would load, but all I would see is a blank white screen as well.

I then tried IE, and got the same thing. I figured out the google search bar at the top worked, and I downloaded chrome and installed it. It seemed to work, for about 5 minutes, then the same thing, a blank white screen.

Furthermore, I tried browsing on my smart phone, and that worked. Yet, I tried a simple test to post on this site. I'd type a post, and all I'd get was jibberish. Weird letters and characters. Same thing in my email on the phone.

I've ran many virus scans, and came up with nothing. I've worked in IT for years in the past, and this is the weirdest issue I've seen.

Everything works great today. Everything worked great the day before Halloween, but on Halloween, everything went to shit.

I needed to get to email to send the head boss a list of things we need for this jobsite, and I failed. Now I have to wait until Monday.

This has to be a virus.
