$10,000 in Starbucks by DHS in Alameda, CA. There's no DHS in Alameda, CA. I've been to that Starbuck's as well.

This is very interesting. The only reason I could see DHS being in Alameda, is for the old Navy base. There's construction going on there now. I wonder it it's going to be one big ass FEMA camp. Nobody knows what they are doing there.

And yes, I believe it's for the former Naval Base Alameda, which is now used for civilian cargo.

That base, you ever see it from the waterfront? It's all fences. Fences surrounding other fences. I've wondered about this, now I know.

NB/NAS Alameda has never been a pleasant place. Very stark. I wonder if "things" went on there similar to as at Hunter's Point?

I'm sure they share the same issue with radioactive contamination. That's my theory on the fences, they find something and build a fence around it, then find something else, fence that off, and eventually you have a huge area of land with tons of weird fences.

Hunter's point was more of a shipyard than NAS. In Alameda, the carrier Hornet is still there, amongst others. Back in those days, during wwII, it was said you could cross the bay by walking from ship to ship, there was so many. The mothball fleet is going away too. Not many of them left. Interesting times.
