“Global Scramble” For Silver – Coins “Hard To Get,” “Premiums Likely To Jump”

Silver has had a torrid time in recent months and has fallen nearly 40% since July. In less than four months, it is down from $21.40/oz to $15.45/oz today. Silver is 70% lower since reaching over $49/oz in April 2011. The selling has accelerated in recent days and silver has fallen from $17.20/oz on October 28 and is down 12% in the last week.

There is blood in the streets of the silver market with futures speculators long silver, again having their heads handed to them on a plate and incurring sharp losses. However, the silver sell off has again seen a global scramble for physical silver.

For pre 65 junk silver, $16.23 per oz at California Numismatic Investments right now. So about 75 cents over spot right now. Not so bad. Could be a good time to buy. Hard to call the bottom.

Edit: That's the buy price. Sell price is $1.80 over spot. Still not bad for tried and true money.

My LCS has but scraps available. Tarnished Christmas rounds from the 80s and Hamilton Mint art bars. They're still holding onto $1.50 over spot which is surprising. I figured they'd bump it up to $2 over spot eventually at these prices.

Sure, the price is low........but.........who has it and will they be so stupid as to sell?...........and like I said, you will see the common everyday coins famous.

As usual, I am the vanguard of what is to come........go with Ponce, he is always right ahahahahahahah.

Silver is going to single digits.

Electronic "silver" is going to single digits.

Try buying a single coin or round at anything below $15+.

The worst part of silver coins is they often have the Queens head on one side.
