Well if you join the military...and get your arms blown off...you will still have the right to bare arms...but have a hard time exercising that right.
I do not require a shit stained piece of toilet paper with chicken scratches on it to remind me that I have the right to squash ants...I try not to...but there are so many...It's hard to not squash ants by mistake.
If you think that the rules of a game dreamed up by game players before I was born into this game you all are playing can protect you all from me.
