Russian legislation has been amended allowing citizens to carry lethal weapons for self-defense purposes.MOSCOW, November 18 (Sputnik) — Russia has updated its legislation to allow civilians to carry firearms for self-defense, according to an amended decree on lethal weapons that appeared Tuesday on the official database of Russian laws and legal documents.
The previous edition only allowed using licensed firearms on special occasions, such as hunting, sports events and shooting training courses. The new amendment says that firearms can also be carried "for self-defense purposes."

having watched a bunch of russian road rage and drunken russian men punching on in the street, it will be interesting to see how this pans out.

I know what I would be doing today if I were there.

Good for them, however everyone has always had the "castle doctrine" and stand your ground rights since forever. It's your choice if you choose to relinquish them or exercise them. Most other living things do.

I like the CZ82's 50 foot bulls eye out the box. $200 bux... pfft. Just take stock of ammo and extra magazines.

Takes 9x18 Makarov ammo. I was looking into a bunch of different pistols and accidentally started researching these CZ's. There is nothing about them I don't like.

I like em too. Nice fit, great function. The only times I've had problems it has been the ammo. I buy and shoot what ever the range buys in. Usually reloads. I bought a whole reloading setup but I have no where to set it up. Needs to make me a solid bench I can bolt it to.

Been eyeing off a second CZ but I might be relocating in the next few months so not sure about going for a second one. If I had the opportunity to carry I would be grabbing a compact CZ in a heart beat.

edit: actually I think I have 1 dodgy mag which sometimes doesn't feed properly. I think. Hard to tell with the range ammo. It's different month to month.

This appears to be a very nice weapon. I can't seem to find any for sale.

Mine came with 2 magazines each and one is bad. I re-bent the top part but haven't played with it lately. Didn't look different or anything just would jam once in a while.

Just looked, only ones I found are $425.00, I'll check into this later. Hard to believe everyone that bought them are holding!

These things are almost double what I paid! I picked up two and they both came with a holster and two magazines each. $400.00 total delivered.

The CZ83 is a .380
CZ82 is 9x18 Makarov.
