I am reading Darren Wilson's testimony right now, and I also find it completely unbelievable, as it is, to anyone even remotely familiar with law related to use of deadly force, completely and utterly coached. I have not read the article linked above.

Did any of you know that Darren Wilson is 6'4", 210 pounds?

According to Wilson: "And when I grabbed him, the only way I can describe it is like a 5 year old holding on to Hulk Hogan."

Is there some special reason he "showed with his hands" (to the grand jury) what happened with the gun in the car? Was that to keep it from being expressed in words in the recorded testimony?

The medical investigator took no photos

The medical investigator did not take photographs at the scene of Brown's killing because the camera battery had died, the grand jury heard.

The investigator, who goes to the crime scene to collect evidence for the pathologist, also did not take measurements of anything at the scene because they "didn't need to."

The investigator, whose name was redacted, said: "It was self-explanatory what happened. Somebody shot somebody. There was no question as to any distances or anything of that nature at the time I was there."



There are so many effing holes in this it's actually disgusting; I will not attempt to list them all. Wilson got punched twice and then was afraid for his life so he drew his pistol. He fired twice, Brown ran, and then Wilson, in fear for his life, got out and ran after him, all alone.

But there ARE several lessons. First of all, if someone punches you, you can kill them, and all you have to say is "I was in fear for my life." A few minor bruises on your face are sufficient evidence of your reasonable fear for your life.

You guys are smarter than this, all though some of you are not acting like it.

ok so the holes are not so much in the Wilsons story but in the way the case was handled in general. Because the coroner and other attending officers were not Wilson. So Wilson has no responsibility to the way they do their job. It sounds like they were not Job Ready when the call came in. i.e. batteries not fully charged. I don't know why you wouldn't map out the scene. Again not Wilsons fault.

This is 100% true. Natural law, common law what ever you want. If someone threatens to kill, is coming at you in that manner, then yes.

When he stopped, he turned, looked at me, made like a grunting noise and had the most intense, aggressive face I've ever seen on a person. When he looked at me, he then did like the hop...you know, like people do to start running. And, he started running at me. During his first stride, he took his right hand put it under his shirt into his waistband. And I ordered him to stop and get on the ground again. He didn't. I fired multiple shots. After I fired the multiple shots, I paused a second, yelled at him to get on the ground again, he was still in the same state. Still charging, hand still in his waistband, hadn't slowed down.

Unfortunately, I can imagine that since many black guys are sagging, they probably do grab their waist band whenever they run.

Overall it's hard to say exactly what happened here. I don't have enough information to really pick sides, that's supposed to be what the justice system is for, which we all know is highly biased in police shootings.

Cops have a radio code they put out meaning basically shit has hit the fan, and everyone respond. The answer to your question, would be if he put out that code on the radio BEFORE shooting Brown. Before getting out of the car and running after him.

If he did, his story could be legit. He was attacked, he put out the code for help. Knowing help will be there with in a minute or two, he took action to catch the perp.

If he didn't put out that code, he wasn't in fear for his life at the time. In my opinion.

If a semi-auto pistol is even slightly out of battery, i.e. the slide has been moved back, then it won't fire. That would account for the 'clicks' while two people had their hand(s) on the gun with one trying to retain it and the other trying to take it.

This is going to upset some of you "libertarian" types, but, I can't understand such bad-mouthing of the policeman. Yes, yes, I know, there are plenty of assholes in uniform and I go ballistic when I read how they went haywire in broad daylight and blew someone away on a dime. But, I have relatives that I know well and grew up with that became policemen, and, well, it is something most of us just don't have what it takes to put up with. Anyone who argues with a cop, or, worse yet, is stupid enough to pick a physical fight with a cop, has to either be stark raving mad or somehow is fooled into thinking the "revolution" has already begun and he is attacking enemy forces (nuts!!!!).

Whenever a cop gets my attention and asks me questions or tells me to do something, I think about my cousin and I understand the situation the cop is in - he has to uphold the law, he doesn't know me from adam (am I armed? escaping the law? a killer? or just an ordinary sot on my way home?) He, the cop, can't know but we expect him to be ready for anything. So I pay careful attention to the cop, cooperate fully and give him no reason to worry about me whatsover. And yes, I have been harassed before (not very often, really) and had to pay more than I should have, but, would you prefer to have NO LAW ENFORCERS anywhere? You want to sleep with your eyes open and always go in fully armed groups to avoid being hijacked? Get real, guys, these cops are real folks, just like us, and they have taken probably the toughest jobs there are and the least we can do is not cause problems for them, much less pick a fist fight and try to steal their weapon!!!!???? That big 18 year-old had to be about the most idiotic kid in the city to do what he did, instead of just avoiding the middle of the road, or, to maybe politely move over to the sidewalk when the cop ordered him to do so. Whatever Wilson's story is, it is all after the fact that a big 18 year old actually picked a fight with him, and he was IN UNIFORM AND ON DUTY! How come you guys can't see what position that put Wilson in? Plus, he did take note that maybe Brown was a suspect that needed to be questioned. Why be such after-the-fact inquisitors when the situation was so out of whack with Brown acting like he was of such royal blood that he can smack a policeman with impunity?

I admit to being racially prejudiced, but, in this case, it wouldn't matter one whit the race of the individuals - you just don't give cops trouble on their beat and expect to come out OK on the other end - they are always going to get the upfront sympathy of the courts, the jurors, and the general public. NO? I am glad we got them, as bad as they are often, and I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt when the "parties" that interface with them are stupid enough to give them a hard time. Go be a cop first, then you can criticize them - I don't think you would after even a short time on the beat. You have no idea what kind of low-lifes they have to deal with day in and day out, and they are always under the threat of heavy criticism for the least lapse in judgement, when there is no time for giving any thought to a pressing encounter.
