Mind boggling little seed................

Disease Does Not Stand A Chance Against Black Cumin

Nigella sativa, also known as black cumin, black seed, kalonji and haba al-barakah (Arabic name) has been proven with countless peer reviews to effectively treat cancer. More than cancer, Nigella Sativa seeds have been proven to be a treatment for more than 100 diseases.

There have been more than 450 peer reviews in the past 40 years for a wide range of diseases, such as diabetes, MS, Alzheimer’s disease, hepatitis C and more. Originally, Nigella sativa was used to treat migraines and allergies, but recent discoveries have shown that this little black seed is effective in destroying cancer cells.

Dr. Gary Null stated -- “every time you take black cumin you are stimulating your immune system to fight on your behalf and increase natural killer cells.” Thus, referring to its ability to improve the immune system, and help treat even the most impossible invaders like cancer and HIV, successfully.

Researchers at Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson showed that Nigella sativa could cause cell death when used against pancreatic tumor cells. The results showed an 80 percent success rate. This study on pancreatic tumor cells was only the beginning to many future studies on the effect of Nigella sativa against cancer.

Chronic administration of Nigella sativa changes pro and anti-inflammatory proteins (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25380621). Also it may act as a balancing factor on lymphocytes.

Black Cumin stimulates the production of bone marrow and cells of the immune system. It increases the production of interferon, protects normal cells from the damaging effects of harmful invaders, helps destroy tumor cells and increases the number of antibody producing B cells within us.
According to Hwyda Arafat, M.D., Ph.D., associate professor of Surgery at College of Thomas Jefferson University, “Nigella sativa helps treat a broad array of diseases, including some immune and inflammatory disorders. Previous studies also have shown anticancer activity in prostate and colon cancers, as well as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.”
The studies showed potential positive results with prostate and colon cancers. Breast cancer has also been studied in separate research showing the ability to eradicate cancer cells (http://preventdisease.com/home/tips85.shtml) and provide excellent health for many women worldwide.

The results showed a significant reduction in total cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoprotein in patients taking 2 and 3g of black seed per day.
Further documentation from survivors showed testimonies from people who cured their cancers using Nigella sativa for a wide array of cancers, which include brain, bone and stomach cancer.

There are well over 40 health conditions that may be benefited from the use of the herb, including over 20 distinct pharmacological actions it expresses, such as:

Analgesic (Pain-Killing)
Anti-Bacterial
Anti-Inflammatory
Anti-Ulcer
Anti-Cholinergic
Anti-Fungal
Ant-Hypertensive
Antioxidant
Antispasmodic
Antiviral
Bronchodilator
Gluconeogenesis Inhibitor (Anti-Diabetic)
Hepatoprotective (Liver Protecting)
Hypotensive
Insulin Sensitizing
Interferon Inducer
Leukotriene Antagonist
Renoprotective (Kidney Protecting)
Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha Inhibitor

A woman in Yemen, suffering of stage 3 cancer -- longed for natural treatment. She was advised to take Black Cumin seeds with honey three times a day, in addition to garlic and honey.

After three months, her cancer completely disappeared. The woman continued consumption of these nutrient foods even after illness had diminished.

And not only has Black Cumin demonstrated to help improve a variety of Cancer situations like hers, but researchers at the Cancer Immuno-Biology Laboratory in South Carolina also found -- Black Cumin helps stimulate the activity of neutrophil granulocytes -- the most abundant type of white blood cell in the body.

These neutrophils target cancer cells before they multiply, and help eliminate them before they can develop into harmful tumors.
Nigella sativa has many benefits. It contains strong anti-hypertensive, anti-Inflammatory, anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, and anti-histamine properties. It also strengthens the immune system. Additional benefits are that it promotes lactation and is anti-parasitic.
THE ‘DEADLIEST’ FORM OF CANCER -- DESTROYED BY BLACK CUMIN

Nigella Sativa has been a well-documented beneficial supplement for many forms of cancer, including pancreatic cancer.

Right now, pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths in America, because the survival rate after five years of conventional cancer treatment is sadly, only 4 percent.

A study conducted at Kimmel Cancer Center, at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia -- revealed that Nigella Sativa (Black Cumin) DESTROYED pancreatic cancer cells -- with an incredible 80 percent cancer tumor cell death! It also showed to stop the gene transcription process so cancer cells can’t replicate!

The magic ingredient in Nigella Sativa appears to be thymoquinone. Researchers believe thymoquinone holds promise as a preventative strategy both for patients who have already gone through surgery and chemotherapy, as well as a promising preventative measure -- especially for those genetically prone.
Why does treating cancer have to be so difficult? There are over 400 different protocols for cancer and some are extremely expensive. Not only is Nigella sativa simple to use, it is also inexpensive. In fact, Nigella sativa is one of the most inexpensive protocols currently on the market.
The “OIL” - is the most effective form to consume Black Cumin because the oil is more concentrated than whole seeds unpressed, and is more readily assimilated.

Also, because of it’s potent, absorbable concentration -- only 1 teaspoon is needed per dose.

Most health experts and natural physicians recommend taking 1 teaspoon of the oil two times per day for therapeutic effects, on an empty stomach/before meals and bedtime. Or once per day, for a healthy maintenance dose or as a preventative measure.

Black Cumin can have sedative effects for some though, and because the oils have bile-expelling characteristics, in my opinion, it is best taken in the evening -- unless utilizing 2x per day for therapeutic benefits.

You can take the oil on its own, mixed in water or juice (*great with raw honey), or can be added to warm tea -- like herbal chai, etc.
Mix with honey and/or garlic for a great tonic for effective immunity-boosting during cold and flu season.

just to clarify, Nigella Sativa is not black cumin.

In English (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_language), Nigella sativa seed is variously called fennel flower,[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigella_sativa#cite_note-GRIN-3) nutmeg flower,[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigella_sativa#cite_note-GRIN-3) black caraway,[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigella_sativa#cite_note-GRIN-3) and Roman coriander.[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigella_sativa#cite_note-GRIN-3) Other names used, sometimes misleadingly, are black cumin,[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigella_sativa#cite_note-GRIN-3) onion seed and black sesame. Blackseed and black caraway may also refer to Bunium persicum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunium_persicum).[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigella_sativa#cite_note-4)

After reading the wiki I have no idea what it is that you need to buy. Perhaps it is written that way so you can't work it out.

Any idea what you actually should be buying?

I bought some of the seed a year or so ago and have taken it off and on. The seed came raw and you have to roast it then grind it with a coffee grinder. It's a spice and has a nice flavor I think.

I make a hot drink with it at breakfast time with chicken bouillion, tumeric, diatomaceous earth and fresh ground black pepper.
