I am grateful for what I am and have. My thanksgiving is perpetual. It is surprising how contented one can be with nothing definite — only a sense of existence. Well, anything for variety.

Have a great T-day!we should just go ahead and combine the holiday season into one big day. Black Friday. Where everybody goes out
and mass binges on everything. Eat, drink, consume, puke, buy more, eat more, puke some more. Fight over cheap electronics. Drink more. Puke. Now that's a holiday.

Thanksgiving AND prayer
Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
1 Timothy 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
1 Timothy 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

Hard to see what all the thanking is about.
In fact I cant see one thing to give thanks for as everything has been hi jacked and degraded.
I suppose giving thanks for your sanity in an insane world could be one .

I'm grateful cuz my neighbor helped me figure out the electric for my septic system.
So now we can flush the toilet in Peaceful Serenity.
I hope :)

Everything you have that it is possible you could not have. Can you see, talk, walk, eat? That sort of thing.

Enjoy your friends, family or your solitude, they're all something to be thankful for. If you get to party in the process, even better!

And here I thought I was a doom & gloom pessimist!
Come on, Serpo, there are countless things to be thankful for. Focus on the positive today, instead of the great many negatives.

Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holiday) celebrated primarily in the United States (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving_%28United_States%29) and Canada (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving_%28Canada%29) as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year.

If you're able to get out of bed, go to the pantry and choose something to eat, you are blessed.
Realism also recognizes that we in the White (and Northeast Asian) nations are rich beyond the wildest dreams of most people in history, even of our own race. We live like kings of centuries ago.

I hosted Thanksgiving today. Around noon I drove across town to get my brother. He didn't answer the door or the phone. I had a key and let myself in and found my younger brother's body on the floor with his dog watching over him. I won't know the cause for a while but he dropped as he was crossing the living room. He was only 43. Rest in peace brother.

I guess you two aren't as "enlightened" as you pretend. This is actually sad - seriously. The materialistic nature of Thanksgiving is completely separate from what it's supposed to be about, and still is, if you want it to be.
