This is exactly why we have a Constitution. They don't in the UK and Europe, and anything goes, it's all up for grabs. Our forefather's were ahead of our time, amazingly so.
Something to think about, folks. Protect what is, and what is just. Our nation thought ahead and we need to honor that. With our lives.

Yeah, Hitch, we have a constitution that our government ignores. There's a list as long as yor arm of websites that the US government has shut down. You know about Kim Dotcom? Also, do you know about internet copyright trolls, and troll central? If you use torrents to download copyrighted material, be advised that you are monitored, and eventually you will become the prey of the trolls. There is an organization in Cebu Philippines called the APMC, which markets its services to copyright holders of movies. What they do is, in cooperation with Some German torrent trackers, compile lists of bit torrent users who download specific movies. They use these lists and a group of copyright troll attorneys in the US to identify the subscribers of internet service at the IP addresses they identify where bit torrent downloading is done. Then they send demand letters to those bit torrent users, asking for a 'settlement' --usually a couple of thousand dollars in exchange for them not suing. They are shaking down the bit torrent users--about aquarter million of them in the last two years. And these lawyers and their movie production company clients make millions of $'s preying on the torrent users. Take a look at this presentation of troll central's business model:

There are bigger pirates out there than you. If you use bit torrent, you need to be aware of this operation before it bites you in the ass. Go buy a VPN service and become anonymous. You might pay $100 a year for such a service, but it could save you the cost of defending yourself in a lawsuit which could cost many thousands of dollars. Eventually, all the large bit torrent sites like Pirate Bay will be shut down. They will be replaced with membership based torrent trackers that you will pay for, and you will download your copyrighted files anonymously using VPN. So, don't mourn for the Pirate Bay--they will be replaced with something better, safer, more secure. Until then, take precautions because troll central is out there, and they are organized and on the prowl. The constitution won't protect you, but privacy technology will.

indeed what constitution ???
we need a shift in perceptions and the first step is to stop supporting what fails because there lies the strength the the NWO. The (masonic) founding fathers knew about the nature of the evils that were lurking and that their "we the people" would fail at some point down the road.
Our nation thought ahead and we need to honor that. With our lives.
right after 911 I was thinking that too.... not anymore, with our minds instead. 4000 years of wars/revolutions and things having gone bad to worse clearly tell us that its time for a new strategy.

A good VPN can be had for a lot less.

Whatever you do, don't select a VPN based in the United States (unless you're not in the US).
Eventually, all the large bit torrent sites like Pirate Bay will be shut down.
We'll see about that. They're tried it before. And while TPB is offline, Kickass Torrents, Demonoid, H33T and numerous others are chugging along nicely. :)

Seems to me TPB is always ahead of the game.
It's probably already back up, we just don't know the .xx yet

Unfortunately, it's not just a domain seizure this time. Physical raid in Stockholm with at least one arrest, and EZTV and minor sites went down, too.
Kickass Torrents, H33T, and Demonoid are ready to take up the slack.

There is another thread where crimethink mentions good and bad vpn's, but I can't find it using search.
If you can find it put it here please.
Thanks.
