There are good people out - they're rare - and usually the ones who have nothing are the ones who recognize what he does.

for 2 years I volunteered to go to the food depot for a community food bank in the area, and although 50% of people who get free food are also food stamps recipients, the other 50% truly need it. I always listen to their life stories and daily concerns...

seems like the homeless in the vid lost everything due to life events and didnt follow the path of least resistance. This is a wonderful story.

ps: alcoholism is really hitting homeless hard though

There is a richness that words will forever fail to describe.

It is said that when you bless others ....you are lending yourself to God so that God may tend to other things.

And God will certainly remember those who step up without being called

Those that do such are blessed beyond measure with health, long life and wealth and the secret desires of their heart.

Thats Good stufff and best way to live.

I saw the video linked on another site and it was titled "Homeless man takes $100 to the liquor store" which was true but a bit misleading. I was happy to see him giving back and passing it on. His statement rings true too, so many homeless out there are in that situation due to circumstances, not vice or personal choices.

Great Christmas story. Remind Madfranks, Neuro or I to move this to the "Good News, Reasons for Hope, Positive Insights" forum when it starts losing ground in General. I hope it is for real. We tend to get cynical and skeptical about these things. It does look real.

Looks real, do you merge it or nuke it from general?

When it ends up on page 4 or 5 we could just move it over and leave an expiring redirect (i.e., a redirect message that lasts for some time period, maybe 2-4 weeks).

And then REALITY settles in...

How dare you shatter the liberal illusion that the homeless are way better than us, and if we only gave them more money their problems would disappear.......

Once Again, Media Outlets Fall For Obviously Fake Viral Video

http://cdn01.dailycaller.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Euclid-Liquoe-e1420215954500.jpg

You may have seen a recent viral video entitled “How Does A Homeless Man Spend $100? (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUBTAdI7zuY)“ in which a homeless man is secretly filmed after being given $100. The homeless man is seen entering a liquor store, but exits with a bag that is revealed to be filled with food to give to other homeless people.

http://media.vocativ.com/photos/2014/12/Lin_4.jpg.3402500157.png

The video became a feel-good hit, receiving nearly 30 million views on YouTube and significant media coverage. The video’s creator, Josh Paler Lin, set up an IndieGoGo page that has racked up $127,000 in donations to help the man in the video. But now, the video’s credibility is being called into question. (RELATED: CAIR, Huffington Post Fall For ‘Obvious Hoax’ Video)

Just like all the other (http://dailycaller.com/2014/10/27/texas-agency-pushes-back-on-huffpost-story-about-houston-mayors-daughter/) times this has happened (http://dailycaller.com/2013/12/03/when-fake-stories-go-viral-and-the-dupes-get-rewarded/), there are pretty clear clues that something was amiss. Wasn’t it awfully convenient that the homeless man chose to go to a liquor store in order to buy large amounts of food? It certainly set the viewer up for a heartwarming twist, but it’s not like most liquor stores sell pies en masse.

Sure enough, an eyewitness has come forward claiming that the video was staged. “The whole thing is bullsh*t,” the eyewitness told Vocativ (http://www.vocativ.com/culture/society/how-does-a-homeless-man-spend-100-video-josh-paler-lin/). “[The homeless man] knew he was being followed.” The witness, who claims he recognized Lin from his other YouTube prank videos, said that he saw him at the liquor store, stuck around, and watched him stage the entire thing. The eyewitness, a nursing student living in Anaheim, provided time-stamped texts corroborating his version of events.

In addition, a man featured in another of Lin’s videos created a YouTube video claiming Lin has staged his previous prank videos as well. “A large number of YouTube prank videos are staged,” he said (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2890349/Was-viral-video-homeless-man-spending-100-food-beggar-friends-hoax-Skeptics-pick-holes-film-raise-questions-serial-prankster-director.html). “I was involved in a Halloween-themed bloody eyeball scare prank by Josh Paler Lin.” (RELATED: Jimmy Kimmel tricks the Internet with yet another fake viral video)

Google News pulls up 165 separate online outlets that covered the viral video, including The Huffington Post (twice), Breitbart, The Toronto Star, The Blaze, New York Daily News, and The Mirror. On the air, NBC’s “Today”, MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN all covered the video, with CNN doing three separate segments on the story. The Daily Caller never touched the saccharine story, but only because we were too busy covering Nikki Minaj’s nip slip (http://dailycaller.com/2014/12/18/another-day-another-nicki-minaj-nip-slip-photos/).

The recreation of reality to reify the reality of recreation. It's a metaphor of the entire fiat monetary system. Make money by pumping imaginary money into imaginary creations called persons.

Its sad because this will be exploited by the naysayers

I am just going to believe that there are kind souls out their that will and do things like that...we just never get a chance to see

I hope people take the positive none the less.

Mick Silver gives a Christmas dinner to two families. There is good out there, but a YouTube video may not be the best place to find it in...

There are many kind souls and countless acts of generosity in the world. This just wasn't one of them.

It was the story that melted the hearts of millions on Christmas eve - when a homeless man called Thomas suddenly received 100 dollars from a stranger. After pocketing the money, the man headed to a liquor store, but instead of spending it on alcohol, he bought food to his beggar friends and poor people. But skeptics have picked holes in the clip they say is too perfect, and an eyewitness claims there’s no way Thomas could have been secretly filmed, because he and the author arrived at the shop in the same car. RT talked to both - the hero in need and the serial prankster - they denied the storm of accusations.
