View Full Version : Guardian Angels

I've been wanting to get this off my chest for awhile, but can't talk about it face to face.
So, here we go. This happened a couple of years ago.
I was feeding a winch line on the drum. The line is 7/8 inch wire. The drum, rated at 50,000 lbs of pull. Lot's of force. The hook at the end of the line is maybe 10 lbs.
As I was feeding that line on the drum, that hook caught. The hook, 10 lbs launched at my head with 50,000 lbs of pull force behind it.
Folks, I was pushed out of the way. I saw a bright white light, and I was physically pushed out of the way of that hook. It missed my head by maybe an inch, it happened so quick.
Anyway, call me crazy if you want, but I've been wanting to share this, and my belief that we do have guardian angels watching over us.

I believe you, Hitch. My dad claims he was saved from what should have been a fatal car wreck by an angel as well.

I had a guardian angel experience in 2002.
I bailed out of a skin dive because I felt 'scared'.
It turned out a great white was feeding where I was swimming to. I found out a year later.
I've done that kind of diving (wearing a wetsuit) about a hundred times, never aborted a dive - except that one time.
Also about a year later, I met a boogie boarder, swimming at the Y, that aborted his surf, for the same reason - a few miles from where I got out.

Am I the only one on this forum who doesn't believe in Zombie Jesus or Magical Unicorn Consciousness Vibration Universe Matrix?

You have an angel too...here's what he looks like.
Oh, he's very pleased with your craft and he may even be helping you to become successful at it.

I believe.
Angels or whatever, had several incidences when a kid and later in life that saved my life, once when a kid, I fell off a cinder brick wall and when I hit the ground, a voice in my head said move, and I did, a huge brick hit where my head was at, is one example of several.
I believe most have a purpose in life, however big or small it is, and when your time comes to check out, it will come.
And not before !

I definately have a gardian angel. I owe him/her a lot.
The things that happened to me made me think I was kept here for a reason, or a higher purpose.
There's definately something bigger out there then us mere humans, both good and evil.

If they were "random," Pete would be dead.

I can't help but think how egocentric it is to think that the physical reality is all there is. There's got to be more to existence than our 3D reality.

I just see no realistic evidence for any of it. My attitude is if there's no evidence for it, I should be honest with myself and say "I don't know."
Most of you who are Christians would be Muslim if you were brought up in that environment. Is that "Fate" or Luck?

I guess that was the point of this thread. The hard part was even thinking folks would believe a thread like this.
The evidence is real with our experiences.

Pure materialism. Same as Jewish Marxism.

I chose my belief system. My parents deliberately did not have me baptized as a Lutheran in infancy, as the family expected.
I chose Christianity, because Jesus Christ revealed Himself to me. Call me insane if you like, but I believe that. He's there for anyone open to Him. And for Doubting Thomases who need science, the Shroud offers that, too.
