Take the time to make your own spontaneously fermented foods and beverages. Kombucha is cheap and not very difficult to make, and is one of the best nutritional supplements a human can ingest.

Being a craft brewer, I've noticed an interesting thing... when it comes to beer, there are a vast number of overweight Bud Light/ Coors Light drinkers (hey, they are lower in calories, right?), but people that drink local, unfiltered and unpasteurized beer generally don't seem to have weight problems. This probably has something to do with the general regard each type has for the quality of materials they put into their bodies (both food and beverages), but the fact remains that those macros are DEAD, and the smaller local crafts still contain living fermentation products and cells.

If it ain't living, (or very recently living), it ain't food.

The Romans used to make a sauce for their meals that involved fish heads skin scales and guts that had been fermented for a month or so. In Viet Nam the stuff is called Nước mắm

maybe a quick run down
Your immune system is in your gut.

Your gut has been taken over by invasive bacteria as a result of too much sugar and processed foods that are not natural.

The remedy is probiotics.

They have them now that are freeze dried and don't need refrigeration.

In addition they have them with acid resistant coatings so they make it through the 2.0 pH of the stomach and deliver their package of good bacteria into the intestines where it will do the most good.

Not having good bacteria in the system leads to fungus in the nails, poor skin conditions, acid reflux, belly fat and 20-30 other ailments that are only going to be corrected when the underlying problem is fixed and not before.

A ratio of 80% good bacteria to 20% bad is sufficient. That means you can still have sugar and processed foods although the cravings for these will diminish as your gut starts working.

Diatomaceous Earth

I took a heaping teaspoon of this in 8 oz of water every day for 3-4 months and noticed great improvement in joint flexibility.
