Lame PR stunt.
"Seriously, we aren't steroid monkey thugs looking to dominate you for the benefit of the monied class, honest! We're just like you!"
I'm sure they drew straws, or that particular cruller-coveter lost a bet, or something. I'd bet my left nut that wasn't spontaneous, but I'm sure we will hear comments like "Nice to see they're human" or some such nonsense from the somnambulant herd.

Like I said... PR stunt.

There’s only one small problem… The officer knew good and well that he was being recorded. We contacted the department, asking them why the officer would have been unaware that he was being recorded. The media relations representative did not respond.
We asked further if that officer knew about the new web series: again, no response.
It may seem obvious to some, but others have swallowed this PR-stunt hook-line-and-sinker. The purpose seems to be showing the public the “nicer side” of those guys and gals who pull you over for anything and everything, fine you, lock you in a cage if you don’t pay that fine… And those are just the tame aspects of “community policing.”
By posting this video, and initiating this “new web series,” the Dover Police Department is trying to distract us from systemic and systematic police brutality. Don’t fall for it!

No, you can tell it's legit. At least I can. He's on "patrol" the whole time in the video. He's aware of everything that is going on around him, it is obvious. That's what makes this video so hilarious, is it's honest.
