Last night while falling asleep I was thinking and looking at the sky by way of my bay window behind the couch.....then there was a blinding light and without thinking I fell to the side of the couch away from the window.......first thing that came to mind was nuclear, then about five seconds later there was a thunder. I have lived here now for 14 years and this is only the fifth time that I have seen lightning, something weird, there was about 20 lightning but only 3 sounds of thunder.

You can see it is quite windy, but I wonder if it rained a lot and a landslide exposed the roots of these trees so there was no supporting the trees when the wind came?

You can see it is quite windy, but I wonder if it rained a lot and a landslide exposed the roots of these trees so there was no supporting the trees when the wind came?

Good observation, and I agree. Nonetheless, quite spectacular to see!

I counted 9 or 10 trees... :) So way less impressive from a numerological point of view...

and beside the road means they dont get as much shelter......................all at once is weird though......
