So this is the perfect TV programming and the coming total control grid.
Put set top boxes in peoples lounge rooms and watch them watching TV. So now everyone is going to be watching everyone else on TV and it will be just like reality TV.
Do you get that? Watching people watching TV but on the TV they are watching other people who are watching other people watching their TV's.
Fantastic Idea. It's called GoogleBox.
It's the TV show about people watching TV that became the surprise hit of last year. Now, as it's back for a third series, we catch up with Gogglebox's unlikely stars
Who'd have thought watching ordinary people sitting around their TVs could be so laugh-out-loud funny? But Gogglebox, now back for its third series, is quite possibly the quirkiest show television's ever seen.
The premise is simple – ordinary couples, families and friends spend an evening in front of the box while a camera catches their every move and thought.
And the terrifying thing is you'll often find yourself completely agreeing as the participants start spouting forth inane views, engaging in hilarious and often drink-fuelled banter and bickering about the merits of Simon Cowell or Stephen Hawking.
All those taking part are hand-picked by the producers, keen to avoid the usual reality show extroverts, and each instalment is filmed over seven days covering that week's TV and news highlights. Now meet the Goggleboxers…
