A T-shirt could cost this firefighter his job.

A judge has recommended the FDNY sack Brooklyn firefighter Thomas Buttaro for wearing anti-affirmative-action T-shirts to work, creating what she called a hostile work environment.

The shirts became an issue after Buttaro got into a heated exchange on May 6, 2012, with a black colleague over a suit filed by the Vulcan Society, a fraternal organization of black firefighters that has called the FDNY’s hiring practices discriminatory.

Mr contractor if you want a contract with the city of mobile we are going to look at the color and sex of your employees...not weather they are competent and can do their job safely and effectively.

This reeks of atlas shrugged

They'll be missing the good ol days, white hoods and all. You see this happening and the clan philosophy starts making sense. Hell, once the Blacks have drug society down to the low level of their competence, they may be wishing for the good ol days.

I'm not being hateful, there are plenty of good Blacks and I'm sure they are against this perversion. Hire people for their merits, not their skin color.

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." How's that dream coming along?

My brother told me a story about working as a carpenter in Florida, mid 70's. Foreman sent him and another white guy and a black guy to dig for some forms, hot sun and all. The white guy was very unhappy to be doing this 'nigger' work and threw his shovel down and said, "I ain't doin' this shit! Nigger, your gonna dig for both of us." I guess it will be the other way around now.

Isn't that racist?

Diversity means non-white. If I were running a business, I would want the best employees; skill, talent, honesty, work ethic. I wouldn't care what race they have.

Exactly. Profit is colorblind.

Instead of working hard to make yourself more marketable and provide value to customers, the employer and business, they act as GIBSMEDAT niggers looking for unfair advantage to gain unearned awards. Perhaps we need to make a perfect racial balance in NFL and NBA ball players.

True story: While working as an architect in south Texas, a contractor who I had never heard of won a contract to construct a building because they were both minority and female owned (the "owner" of said firm was an elderly Hispanic woman who didn't speak English, sat in a rocking chair all day knitting). They ended up underbidding the job by more than $80k, and never finished the job, preferring to walk away than finish it. This was a gov't job, of course, where they preferred the skin color and sex of the owner over the ability to actually do the job.
