All I need is some power as in electricity ,solar or water power and then the only way would be by satellite to receive internet .

Limited amounts of download except after midnight til 6am when there is tonnes

Its going to take a while but working towards it.

not even mobile phone reception in our valley and phone is accessible but not worth it to receive dial up ,can get voip phone with satellite ,while it may not be as good as normal phone the much better internet makes it the better option in this situation especially as it works out to about the same price

Been doing some back breaking work which I seem to love ,of getting large river stones or boulders and laying them onto a clay base (got by digging out of side of hill where road has been made) and in the end top with some fine stony gravel so the clay dosnt stick and presto ,perfect walk ways.

From the river I have been retrieving perfect sand ,premix ,gravel for road and boulders.

This place is so far from civilization it would take a huge effort to get these items from town ,who got them from rivers anyway.

I really love this sort of stuff and in NZ we can build shepard huts which are less than 10 sq meters without having a permit.

so kitchen can be one , bedroom another ,sitting room another ect.

council here are really screwed and everyone Ive met hates them and a friend who lives on same piece of land and works for a builder said that 90% of his jobs are for extensions ect with out a permit.......

just in town for a moment (now) and going straight back out ...........away from all the madness although you cannot ever escape it completely

You won't need the internet if you MUST be in your bugout location, imo.

Maybe you could get 3G internet if you use a directional parabolic antenna and a signal enhancer? How far away are you from a phone signal, at your bug out?

More info please. Is this for free internet or mobile phone subscription?

When I moved up here I paid $5K to have a 7000 foot landline put in (buried). All that was available was dail up. Then the second year they provided DSL and it works great.
The DSL modem works directly hooked up to 12 VDC and draws about 20 watts. Laptop takes about the same using a cigarette lighter adaptor and power supply. Just about any small solar setup will carry that load.

With my setup I would sit in the dark after 2 hours, but I'm cheap! I may have to upgrade to a larger panel and a car battery actually, if I want Internet at bugout...

My internet access is one of those mobile 3/4 g hotspots with my cell phone provider. Bandwidth is limited, I don't stream movies or anything, but I am amazed that I can get access in some very remote spots. On a trip last year I was in the middle of the desert and had internet, which was great I could plan my trip and get travel info.
