Been looking at these quad copters and drones. The difference is the controller capability. A straight quad copter multi rotor with radio control is just that. A drone tends to be something with a programable onboard controller that you can use for pre planned flight paths. return to base etc.
I dont have RC. but always wanted to. Have spent time messing with buggys and the odd plane that friends had. Always disappointed with the flight or run time. Add that to the recharge time and you wonder why bother.
Seems the entry level multirotor would have 3 - 4 minute flight time. Doesn't seem worth all the hassle. Anyone got any experience with these things?
