Listening to a new album by The Dreaming, called Rise Again. If you remember Stabbing Westward from the 90's, this is them, in a new band name. The sound is very close to the old SW though, and they were one of my favorite bands back in the day. Here's the first single from their new album:

I have 5 or 6 patton brand heaters from walmart, all metal design and not real quiet. Very good quality actually for such an inexpensive unit. $20 each, work good but the thermostats are a bi-metal type which means when it gets cold you need to turn them up and when it gets warmer you have to turn them down. After a while the bi-metal deal sticks on and have to turn it down til you hear it 'pop' off then turn back to where it was.

The low is appx 1300 watt and high is 1500-1600 watt which I have never used cause were still on extendo cords and they get hot on high.

The electric fireplace is humming in the background, and of course the click & clack of the keyboard as I type this.

Thats a good band. ;)

Last week I had one of those eureka moments when I thought I figured it all out. The universe and everything in it. Not every aspect of science of course but the big picture.
I havent ever read the bible but there are some good things in there that I have come across over the years. Just saying I have heard in passing like as above so below and stuff. Anyway, I decided I was going to write a book. Got a few hrs into it and as I was watching a video to get some info this one was present on the sidebar so I clicked on it. Well, a lot of what I had though I discovered he has already put together. Not everything and not all in the same way but enough so that if I wrote the book it would definitely be plagerism. The good news is now I dont have to write the book.

I think the Album My Head is an Animal by Of Monsters & Men is one of the best albums to come out in a long time. It's spiritual, morbid, consistent moving rhythms and sounds good loud. Its an album that moves the ears of the young and old.

Hmm, so the video I was watching at 2 this morning has now been removed by the user?

That video was over 3 hrs long and they just decided to remove it the same day I am watching it LOL. Any ideas on how to find out who uploaded it?

I was listening to that Bethoven opera in 432 this morning. Was very good even with crap laptop speakers. Was 1 hour plus a bit. Got some better speakers now so I might crank it again.

This album has been 25 years in the making...Its like Brian Wilson meets sonic youth or something like that. I had their album loveless in the 90's and liked it so I was surprised that they released this, and its good too, maybe even better...

I feel stupid I only discovered it last week (on valentines day coincidentally, lol). It just shows you how much i pay attention to the music scene I guess...enjoy!

Why can't all music be this good!!

Good question, maybe because of a certain tribes stranglehold, or maybe because sometimes it takes 25 years to come up with enough good material, lol

Apparently loveless cost a ridiculous amount of money, like £250,000 in 1991, which is about US$750,000 today! MBV would've been much cheaper because of the relative ease of digital recording technology, I think thats what eventually allowed them to release it.

Love the Cocteua twins!
