Klamath County Sheriff Frank Skrah confirmed the incident at a press conference on Tuesday. So far, there do not seem to be any leads as to the house's location or how it seemingly vanished overnight.
"We had a complete home stolen. This isn't a motor home, this isn't a mobile home and this is a 'home,'" Skrah said, according to local NBC affiliate KOBI (http://kobi5.com/news/item/missing-house-in-klamath-falls.html).
Thankfully, the owners were not in the home when it was stolen.
The town, Klamath Falls (population: 20,000), is located about 300 miles south of Portland.
Business Insider has reached out to the Klamath County sheriff office, and will update with any further information we receive.

Update (4:55pm 2/26/2015): Klamath Falls, Ore. -- The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office says the stolen home has been found but it's still unclear just who owns it.

The log cabin was moved about a half a mile across a field just outside Chiloquin last summer.

Neighbors on Nine Mile Road in Klamath County were surprised to hear on the news that the home was 'missing.' One of them said "I just remembered the house from the photo - 'It's like, I know that place!" (laughs) "It's been next door to me for almost a year."

Sheriff Frank Skrah said "This is a situation where 3 parties are claiming ownership, one of the 3 parties sold it to a fourth party."

No charges have been filed, and investigators are still trying to piece together just who owns the cabin.

The cabin was purchased and moved sometime last summer for $3,000.

basically means a bank foreclosed on it, sold it in foreclosure and the buyer flipped it.
