It is becoming more and more evident to me that the sort of FTL space travel depicted in ST and other scifi movies and shows is not possible (space is not void of objects resulting in a catastrophic collision), that more likely than not there are what we refer to as wormholes/portals/'stargates'. (Lyn Buchanan explains it from his experience as related to him it's not a matter of going 'fast' it's more 'going a long way in a short period of time)

I did enjoy Star Trek. Spock's (Nimoy's) passing is notable. Spent many hours as a kid watching Star Trek episodes. Too many hours.

You got into a great niche that I never even thought about back then. I still couldn't build much out of wood besides structures, your trade is a mile apart from printing. I like what I do cause it's simple to me and I could do it drunk with one hand and two legs tied up. Mechanics which I am very good at never progressed into a sustaining part of my life but still do it as a hobby and part of maintaining things.
