View Full Version : Peanut milk - the miracle drink.

I stumbled upon this article about Chang's peanut milk at the KK Cafe, which people claim it's a miracle drink. I tried Chang's peanut milk many years ago, I only tried it once, but always remembered how good it was. I had taken the worst beating I've ever had trying to surf ocean beach. My whole body was sore after the surf, and I tried the peanut milk. Not only was it delicious, I actually noticed a difference in how I felt.
Anyway, I was searching online for a recipe. I'd like to be able to make the milk myself. I don't have any health issues, but I've always wanted to drink the stuff just as an added boost.
I found this article.

I have never had peanut milk before, but wouldn't almond milk be better?

Guess it depends on what one likes and taste buds!
Personally I do not care for almonds but love dam near everything with peanut's.

I think you guys have a Trader Joe's out there in CO now. They sell almond milk. I tried it and could not stand it, tasted awful. Soy milk is out for men as well.
I just wonder if Chang stumbled upon something very healthy with peanuts, and boosting immune systems. I just remember the one time I tried it, it tasted awesome. I've got some peanuts soaking overnight and am going to try to make my own tomorrow. I'll update this thread on how it turns out.

Easy. You mix crushed cashews with hydrochloric acid then neutralize the acid with bi-carb of soda.
Wait .. this is what happens when you chew a cashew and send it to your digestive tract.
I make peanut milk and almond milk the same way. It becomes exotic when you blend in a little Jim Beam Red Stag.
There should be a law!!! :-) :-) :-) :-)

At least if you make it in a blender beforehand your tongue can enjoy the flavors as the mixture is drunk!
Teeth both real or not are optional !

palani, would you mind sharing your peanut milk recipe?
There's something so strange. There used to be a website, peanutmilk.org, I think, dedicated to all the health benefits of peanut milk. There were lots of testimonials on that site, and it's gone. People posted all sorts of benefits on that site, it's been years, but there was this loyal following of peanut milk. Gone.
I'm honestly questioning if big pharma crushed peanut milk because it's a threat to medications.

Wasn't my intent. I always though the body could create its own milk by throwing the raw ingredients into it.
Think I will wash down some cashews with some Red Stag right now.

LOL. I am easily suckered...once. I learn though, and remember. I will be wary of palani's posts going forward...

I will be wary of palani's posts going forward. Why single me out? You should be wary of EVERY post or any information that comes to you through the internet.

Your entire interaction with society is by trust. Each time I leave the house I trust my fellow man to not pull out a 357 and start using it. So far my trust has been richly rewarded.

Well, made my first batch of peanut milk today. Actually came out fairly decent. I used 1 cup of dry roasted peanuts, soaked them overnight. I added about 3 cups of water, and a teaspoon of vanilla extract, and blended it all up. The consistency is like milk, but tastes like peanuts. Next batch I will add more vanilla extract, one teaspoon wasn't enough.
