View Full Version : If you were Edward Snowden, would you return to the US?

Edward Snowden is apparently considering returning to the US under certain conditions, reportedly only if he were to receive 'a fair trial'.

What do you think?

not possible IMO. He would be Litvinenko'd pretty quick OR he might decide he prefers dresses or something.

If he goes back, to me it would be an admission of being LHO or something.

What do I think? I think he's not thinking.

He should be relaxing on a beach someplace warm, with rum drinks, and dancing girls.

What we should all be doing anyway...

I'd head to Pitcairn island, retire with bare breasted native girls running around everywhere.

Or Norfolk Island...most of the inbred inhabitants moved to Norfolk Island in the 1800's

By the mid-1850s, the Pitcairn community was outgrowing the island and its leaders appealed to the British government for assistance. They were offered Norfolk Island, and on 3 May 1856, the entire community of 193 people set sail for Norfolk on board the Morayshire, arriving on 8 June after a miserable five-week trip. But after eighteen months on Norfolk, seventeen of the Pitcairners decided to return to their home island; five years later another twenty-seven did as well.[11] In 1886 the Seventh-day Adventist layman John Tay visited the island and persuaded most of the islanders to accept his faith. He returned in 1890 on the missionary schooner Pitcairn with an ordained minister to perform baptisms. From that time the majority of Pitcairners were Adventists.[16]

No bare breasted girls there either, just seventh day Adventists...

You want bare breasted girls?

Try Papua New Guinea...

Innocent until proven guilty? Guilty until proven innocent? No, just guilty. He would never get a fair trial.

He may be feeling homesick, but he'll be feeling more homesick when sitting behind bars for the rest of his life.

The only thing that might help him is tonnes of media coverage and public support. Either way, he'll be doomed.

Without legal notice that he has left what makes anyone believe he is not here?

No way the media would cover anything he said during the trial. He'd be convicted and tortured, and then locked away incognito somewhere with no contact. They'd do a "Bradley Manning" to him.

I think he probably is homesick, but he needs to make a new home, he'd never be safe in the US.

If he moves back to America he'll start wearing panties and change his name to Edwina.

I'm certain he'll end up in prison, the Death Cult HAS to make an example out of him. However it's doubtful he'd end up as someone's bitch in Fed custody, he'd probably end up in Supermax or a similar 'communication management unit'* like the one in Marion.

*a CMU is a prison where one has to arrange any phone calls weeks in advance, any topics/issues to be discussed on that pre-arranged phone call are to be disclosed at the time the phone call is arranged, any phone call is closely monitored, and there are severe repercussions for discussing any topic/issue which has not been pre-arranged

Yeah, hell no. The U.S. is no longer your home. You have the highest people in power wanting your head on a platter. You WILL NOT get a fair trail. Stay where you're at. Make a new home and life for yourself.

If I were him, I would rather join the French Foreign Legion then come back to the US. He's proven he has courage, at least you have a chance at a new life with the legion. Make up a new name, they don't ask for any proof.

If you are ever completely running from the law, just go to france and say Légion étrangère to a cop, he won't ask questions, but will just take you there.

edit: in fact, that's exactly what I'd do. Sell everything and buy gold coin, hide it well. Join the Legion, stick it out for 3 years, then become a french citizen with a completely new identity. Sure beats running and hiding for the rest of your life. Go and get your gold later.

CIA WEBSITE- The World Factbook: Pitcairn Islands

Pitcairn Island was discovered in 1767 by the British and settled in 1790 by the Bounty mutineers and their Tahitian companions. Pitcairn was the first Pacific island to become a British colony (in 1838) and today remains the last vestige of that empire in the South Pacific.

I was thinking that too. That being said, has anything really changed? Have they stopped what they are doing? It's business as usual, but we just know about it now.

Use the tools that you have to stay free........three of his super friends should have all his info but no one would know who they are.....I then would tell the US government...stop me at the airport and this would come to light.....arrest me and this would come to light.....take me away and this would come to light...put me on trial and this would come to light.......put me in prison or kill me and ALL would come to light. Each step could be made worse ONLY by the US government and not by him, all that he wants is to live free...........the rest is up to them.

I would on the condition the prosecution and the court where I'm charged understands that: 1) I waive my right to have an attorney represent me; 2) I waive my right to represent myself; 3) I am exercising my right to defend myself; 4) I will exercise my sixth amendment right to assistance of Counsel by employing individuals to provide me counsel in the following areas: a) investigators of various types, b) individuals skilled in pre-trial motions, c) individuals skilled in legal research, d) individuals skilled general trial procedure, e) individuals skilled local trial procedure, f) individuals skilled in reviewing the daily trial transcript for procedural error, and g) of course individuals skilled in post-trial motions, h) individual skilled in post-trial procedure, i) individuals skilled in jury selection, j) and other individuals skilled in areas that I may in the future determine are necessary for my defense.

Actually I meant something else. The government has a "gay bomb" that they can make people turn gay or/and transgender. They did this with Bradley Manning who is now "Chelsea".

Ponce, I'm only finding one original source for that info and it appears to be a hoax. Do you have any hard evidence of this?
