I monitor the local law in the area, and yesterday there was a bank robbery in my town. Guy walked in showing no gun but asked for cash, he walked out with abt 9100 bucks from what I heard on my radio.
Cops went nuts as always, but nothing happened for close to an hour. Then there was two radio reports one about someone at our local cemetery and a guy there saying he did it to someone there. and close to the same time the animal control guy (cop also) reported a car and person that matched the robber on the road in town, the guy stopped at a local convenience store and then left and the dog/cat catcher followed him, the suspect drove and acted normally, and the officer said the only thing going and what they had is the car and driver matched the robbery suspect.
At the time total confusion, most of the cops were heading to the cemetery and only the animal control cop was following the guy in town then out of town. (Remember near one hour later after the robbery)
The suspect was driving normally by reports but my city asked white oak pd to help and stop the guy only because the car and driver matched the description of the robber.
The cops that went to the cemetery found no one.
The white oak cops stopped the suspects car, and our cop (ac officer) said the guy had a gun, then shortly said on the radio the guy shot himself in the head.
(Which is sorta strange, because the a/c guy said the guy had a gun, then later said he shot himself, but in the news it was said the guy was reported to shoot himself as white oak officers approached the car and had no clue the guy had a gun until he shot himself)
The guy died later.
Come to find out his his wife, tho different last name it could have been a common law thing died abt 5 months ago and the guy was grieving for her and he fell apart when she died.
What I think from listening to the police transmissions and reported by the news is the guy reached a point that he could not stand it anymore and decided to take himself out.
He went and robbed the bank then went to the cemetery, which he has been seen several time over the last month visiting his wife's grave which could explain the time lag of near one hour and the cemetery call.
Then hit the road not trying to escape and obeyed all the traffic laws until stopped, that he got himself deliberately into a point that made it easier for him to take himself out to join his lost love, compared to his life living the way he was and knowing prison and all that crap was out of the question.
He had to take a rout that he backed himself into a corner so he could build up the nerve to kill himself is what I think.

Non of the news story's have it all and I have what I have heard on my radios of the police radio traffic to think this is what happened.
One reason I monitor the local Le's because what they say on the radio sometimes does not match what is reported to the public.
