"California's aquifers being filled with toxic fracking wastewater
By Karen Graham Mar 23, 2015 in Environment
In November 2014, an investigation revealed that California state officials knowingly allowed oil companies to dump, or pump millions of gallons of toxic waste-water into the state's federally protected underground freshwater aquifers."
QUESTION #1
And that's with Jerry Brown as Governor. How this got past him I would really like to find out.
QUESTION #2
Is the news story true ? If so, it is SERIOUS SH.T.
Try posting about this on Facebook. The subject will usually drift to the bottom, as people post in more popular threads about pet pictures ... selfies ... etc.
That people are ignorring the SERIOUS SH.T ... that is SERIOUS SH.T too.

You may fool mother nature for a while, but in the end she always wins. Man may be able to delay or hold her off but in the end she wins and can wipe any mans work away to the point no trace of mans presence can be found.
The west is a desert was a desert and will stay a desert, it is mans pride and greed that tried to change the natural order of things and man will lose. California wants water? then get cracking and start building huge desalination plants on the coasts and pipe the water where needed.
Too many people with too few natural resources (water) to support the populations in the west.

Drinking a glass of water doesn't generate any tax revenue. Paying exorbitant fees to play a round of golf does.

Last year (2014) more illegals came to the state or Oregon than to any other state, including CA, the first two months of 2015 more people moved to seven states in the US than to any other state and with Oregon being one of the.....44,000 illegals have lost the job in CA because of the water shortage and will be moving North. Because we are right next to CA will be getting most of the water refugees in the near future..........in a slow way TSHTF is happening and no one is really looking.
We have had no snow in this area either last year or thins year which will make it into a very dry summer where a shortage of water will be the cause of many water wars and problems.....in my area the main users of water are the Marijuana growers.......

I need to buy seeds. A fellow prepper told me to buy sprouts, because they grow quickly, pack a lot of nutrition in small amounts, and could be edible within a matter of days.

Mick, what is your thoughts on using sea water to water a garden? In this video, this guy says it's beneficial.

Love eating sprouts in sandwich's and as salads!
Sprouts and avocado on sourdough or wholewheat bread!
Finger licking good! ;)
Buy enough to plant also so you get more seeds for sprout eating and planting
Edit!
Home grown only!
I do not trust store bought much being safe and clean, if used wash the hell out of them! ;)
Homegrown you know where they come from!
As mick said wet paper towel, changing towel and water with fresh daily then move to clean jar .

Change water and keep everything clean, to keep bacterial growth down!

continued use of sea water to irrigate with will elevate the salt levels in the soil to a point nothing will grow. Look at all the dry lake bottoms in Nevada where the prehistoric inland sea evaporated. Ten thousand years later nothing grows there. Huckabee harvests salt from the surface of one lake bed near Fallon and supplies it to NDOT for snow/ice removal on the highways. The initial use may provide nutrients that are missing in the soil and give your garden a boost, but in the long run it will be detrimental.
