Or, what went right?

Here's LiveLeak describing what went wrong when officers confronted the Gavers in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Cottonwood, Arizona: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=6e3_1428698048

Video from the dashboard camera of a Cottonwood Police Department cruiser showed a close-knit Idaho family that appeared nearly invulnerable to stun guns, police batons and fists during a melee in a Walmart parking lot March 21 in which one person was killed and one officer wounded by a gunshot.

Four officers arrived at the Walmart after employees called about one of the Boise, ID, family members pushing an employee to the ground outside one of the store's bathrooms.

The family had gathered outside their older model Chevrolet Suburban when officers arrived. The confrontation started when one of the officers said they would split up the family to talk with them about what happened inside the store, Fanning said.

The family utilized tactics that had to be "taught," Fanning said. For instance, they knew that punching officers on the body was futile because of their protective vests. Instead, the fought officers by grabbing at their eyes, ears and mouths and pulling hard.

They also had been taught to roll after they were shot with stun guns in order to break the wires and stop the shock, and to appear to give up by putting their hands in the air in order to get close to attack again. The family refused orders to "get on the ground" and eventually overpowered Daniels. Two of the suspects, including Enoch Graver, battled the officer for his gun, which went off and wounded him in the leg.

Four more officers arrived and Enoch Graver, 21, was shot to death and his 18-year-old brother David Graver was shot in the abdomen.

Even with eight officers on the scene, nothing the officers tried appeared to stop the family, including the use of stun guns, pepper spray and police batons. In almost every instance, the suspects continued to fight the officers. Fanning said to four people to get one of the brothers in handcuffs and two officers to get the remaining male suspects in cuffs.

The family included the father and sons Jeremiah, 29; Nathaniel, 27; David, Enoch; a 15-year-old boy; mother Ruth Gaver, 52; and an 11-year-old girl.

All were living out of the Chevrolet Suburban and were members of a traveling band called Matthew 24 Now, a reference to a Bible verse dealing with the end of times.

The band's Facebook page is rife with Biblical references.

He's saying they were trained in combat techniques? Is he saying they are a terrorist cell?

If something is "rife" that sounds pretty bad. Evil even. Infested maybe. What kind of references were these? Amen or Jesus saves? God will come down and exact infernal vengance on the heathen and police?

Sounds a lot like a narrative to me. Telling me what I see'd. Not very christian to be shoving people though.

Well that didn't take long to go down the avenue of basically calling them domestic terrorist.

Imagine the state your society is in when you have to teach your children how to fight for their lives against badged robbers.

It's generally a good idea not to fuck with white people in old square body suburbans.

Also............. notice the spin.

What if they had been a bunch of blacks?

They looked like the Keystone cops. The cops made big mistakes Trying to separate a family over a stale misdemeanor. Getting too close too fast while outnumbered. Not separating the family from the walmart employees/others. Employees are NEVER supposed to engage people in parking lots.

Very poorly handled.

One of the stories I read but can't find now said the cop shot himself in the struggle over his gun. My guess is the Gaver family was probably trying to take it away from him when he pulled it to keep from getting shot.

Below is an excerpt from another account that explains how this started in Walmart.

The Gavers' next court date is scheduled for March 31, according to Dwight D'Evelyn, a spokesman for the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office. He said two juveniles from the Gaver family are in custody at the Prescott Juvenile Detention Facility.

"What makes this one unique was the whole family assaulting our officers," Moore said. "It was out of the blue. This family has been in Cottonwood for a month or two."

Nathan Gaver told police that his mother was using the restroom inside the Walmart and that his brothers, David and Jeremiah, were guarding the restroom, according to the court document.

"He advised that his brothers had a confrontation with a male subject trying to enter the bathroom," the document said.

Nathan Gaver told investigators that Cottonwood officers arrived in the parking lot and "started making demands." He said that he fought with officers to protect his sister.

Watched the video, the cops created this epic fail. The scene was calm when they arrived, just people standing there. The first cops go rushing in there like aggressive bull dogs. Rule #1 for LE, control the scene but don't make it worse.

All the first cops had to do is go up and say "how are you folks doing tonight? What's going on here...."

Simply talk to them. This video is just a total disgrace to LE. It should be shown to every trainee in academy on what NOT to do.

Agreed, unfortunately a 21 year old was executed in the struggle which you can see at the 3 minute 20 second mark in the video. Shot point blank right in the head. As soon as you hear the gun shot you see him drop to the ground and doesn't move at all after that. He was dead before he hit the ground.

All the cops had to do like you said, talk to them see what's going on. Instead it turns into that. The cops started it by making demands and can even see them pushing them around before it escalates into an all out brawl.

Narrative ?

That's what Jews do.

"Don't hit my Dad/brother" is a normal feeling everybody can relate to.

Looks like the media is working hard to make them look 'freaky'.

My brother watches the family guy religiously. Some families read the Bible, religiously.

How is the latter more freaky than the former ?

Naturally the state's prosecutor will spin a tall tale to the grand jury that it was a 'justifiable' shooting under the circumstances and the murder(s) will walk free (with a paid vacation).

So sad that those who are supposed to make order are the ones creating disorder......... and unless WE the people do something about it it will get worse, they will do to you only what you allowed them to do to you.
