Got this in Email -

you'll note this particular comment:

Here’s the topper. Mark called up the Royal Canadian Mint to learn a little more about this Polar Bear product. At first, the RCM representative didn’t even recognize the 1.5-ounce coin. He insisted that such a coin doesn’t exist. After a couple of minutes of poking around in his database, he said, “Oh wait. Here we go. We minted a small number of these back in 2013.”
Talk about a red flag

Does anyone really believe this?
Does Peter Schiff NOT Know that this particular coin has numismatic value and ALWAYS has since it was released??
The RED FLAG here is Peter Schiff HIMSELF!!

Perhaps he should also be calling Apmex a "scam" too since they have always sold this coin for about that price and STILL DO!

All this aside, you may not think ANY silver coin is worth more than spot but that's not the issue, the issue is Peter knows perfectly well this is not a typical bullion coin so he is USING this as a promotion for his own PM company and LYING to unsuspecting buyers hoping they will just believe his LYING mouth!

I read the article and it reads to me like Peter is calling out a scam, the same way you are. He's not trying to sell them, just warning others not to spend $40+ for 1.5 oz of silver.

yes don't pay 19% over spot. And don't be fooled by the price because the coin is an odd weight. I think he rightly suspects that most people can multiply 1 x $PRICE but not many can easily do 1.5 x $PRICE. Wouldn't it's numismatic value be mainly down to it's unusual size?

Peter didn't say he didn't know. He said the flunky employee that answered the phone at RCM didn't know. That apparently seemed so odd to Peter that he reported it in this article/email.

I don't subscribe to Peter Schiff's email or buy anything from him, but I watch his youtube interviews occasionally and I appreciate him. He seems genuine. I was slightly alarmed to see someone calling him a "scoundrel".
