hypothesis that the structure of atom
s and molecules influence the strength of a material. To test
my hypothesis, I made models representing pr

how much each model bent to determine its strength.
In three trials
I recorded my measurements
for each model. I compared a model of bonded
versus non-bonded polymers. I also compared a

My data showed that the strength of bonded
polymers was higher than that
of non-bonded polymers and that
the strength of woven carbon
fiber mesh was higher than that of non-woven car
