I just found an old friend of mine on the floor of his house. The family called to say they couldn't contact him so I went over to his place.
The lights weren't on and the door wasn't locked so I went in. I turned on the lights and couldn't see anything, checked the bedroom there was nothing there so I just figured he was out, then I heard a wheezing sound and checked beside the bed. He was lying there all bloated, he was cogent but couldn't really speak, I knew he he'd had a stroke.
Anyhow, I called the ambulance and he was taken away. The other sad part is his wife has just had a second operation for a brain tumor and also had a stroke a week ago.
Its sad when a part of your life slips away like that, it reminds us how short life really is. :(
Peace to all you guys and your families.

Sorry for you and your friend. Its true just how short of a time we have to live. And most of us squander a lot of our time on stupid things that in the long run dont really matter that much! Life is sweet.... and life is short. Enjoy each and every minute of existence!

I'm gutted by this guys. He was my best friend, I would visit him almost everyday, or at least a couple of times per week.
,
I'm also pretty pissed off about it too.
He had diabettes and had to take insulin. Since his wife was hospitalized I'd remind him frequently that he needed to keep his shit together and not forget to take it and I was afraid that one day I'd go down there and find him lying on the floor. I actually reminded him a couple of weeks ago and he got shitty with me so I stopped it.
Now he's fucked it all up and I'm pretty sad about it all. He will never be back there, both he and his wife have lost too much mobility, neither of them can walk. They were hoarders and the house is FULL of shit, so even if they did regain some mobility the house is no where near safe for them. It just fucked. :(
I guess I feel a bit selfish about my feelings too because now I'll never get to just duck out for a cup of tea at his place, I'm a little distraught about it to be honest.
Anyhow thanks guys, I'm gonna have a break for a bit, over and out.

Thanks amigo, I am only a little bit dizzy till I start doing something.....and then after five or ten minutes I feel like if all my energy has been sucked out of me.
Soon they will call me to go back and they will test me by putting me on a thread mill, rowing machine and so on, and see what happens......well, they don't know it but I know that I will pass out.......will see.

Do you have a blood pressure tester?
Sounds exactly like what happens to me!
My BP crashes Scarey low and get super weak and dizzy like you for the same reasons and my vision starts to go black!
This has happened before they found I have high BP to me, but seems worse I think taking the meds.
Your dizziness and everything could be your BP dropping like a rock to very low levels to the point of blacking out!
Truth!

Sorry to hear about this aeon.
The only thing we can do is make sure we take care of ourselves properly. Eat right, get enough sleep, exercise.

I went to pick up my brother for Thanksgiving a year and a half ago. He didnt answer the door. Or the phone. I had a key and let myself in. He was dead on the floor. He had just turned 43 and was very fit. It fucked with me for a while. Im one year older and even though we fought daily as kids, I always looked after my little brother. Today Im having a garage sale selling his shit.
Lucky for him I got rid of his porn before Mom went through his house.

I was reading the OP and thought this was current, had to do a double take to see that it was a year old.

Three days ago, I had a 10 lb hook launched at my head. The hook, had 50,000 lbs of pull behind it from the wire winch. Missed me by inches. I felt the wind go by as it happened.
It's a short life. Best we can do is feel blessed to be a part of it. Blessed to have good folks in our company, and thankful for it all, beginning until end.
